Games / Samurai MMO?
« on: March 11, 2013, 12:30:51 AM »
So one of my friends told me he heard about an MMO that takes place in Japan and you play as a samurai.
Apparently it's fairly new (2010+) and is f2p, although I have my doubts on the latter.
Does anyone know of one fitting that description?

Off Topic / YouTube forcing me to change my name?
« on: February 20, 2013, 03:13:40 PM »
Today when I try to upload a video or comment on one, I've continuously been getting a message from youtube to update my account to my Google name. But there is never an "I don't want to option" I just have to refresh the page to get out of it. Is this happening to anyone else, and is it possible to keep my name or are they making it mandatory now?

Like the top down player, but from a 2D perspective instead.
Is this even possible?
It would be fun for platformers and what not.

Help / Pole Adapters?
« on: February 03, 2013, 10:42:53 PM »
They won't work...
I have no idea why.
I installed them, enabled them in the add-on list, but when I start a game they aren't anywhere to be found.
I re-installed them twice to no avail.

Off Topic / iTunes Help
« on: January 30, 2013, 03:03:39 PM »
Could someone familiar with iTunes explain how to change the window resolution?
For some reason the sides and top are getting cut off when I maximize the window, and this doesn't happen to any other programs.
I can manually change the window size to fit into my screen but that gets annoying every time I open it.
Why is it doing this?

Suggestions & Requests / Double Sided Wedge Bricks
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:50:32 PM »
If you don't know what I mean from the title here are some pictures to clear things up:
On the left you see that by rotating the same right wedge brick by 180 degrees, you can make a smooth diagonal shape.
However, in many cases I found that the space it takes up is to large.
On the right, I stacked the two on top of each other to simulate what it is that I'm looking for.
It would take up only 3 bricks in width instead of 4.

Here is an example of what the individual brick would look like in the case of a left wedge. (The one on the right)

If you think you could do this, please do. It would be of great use to me, and I'm sure many other players.
Also, it would need to be done for both left, and right wedges.

Thanks in advance.

Description Back to Top

Dr. Eva Rosalene and Dr. Neil Watts have rather peculiar jobs:

They give people another chance to live. Literally.

There exists a technology that allows doctors to weave artificial memories, such that a patient can request attempts to alter their mind, and wake up with memories of things that didn’t actually happen.

However, since these new memories are permanent, the conflict between them and the existing authentic memories clash in such a way that it ceases the person’s ability to properly function.

Thus, the operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives… but didn’t.

But creating a new memory is not as simple as pressing a button.

The technology requires the doctors to step into the memories of the patient, which are reconstructed as interactive scenes. The doctors then gradually traverse backwards through memories of the patient’s life until they reach childhood — at which point, the wish of the patient in present time would be transferred over.

Along with the doctors’ influence, the patient (as a child) could then lead an entire different life inside their head, working toward and fulfilling their dying wish themselves.

And if all goes well, they would wake up, having lived the dream life they never had, and embrace a brief moment of blissful fulfillment.

Shortly after, they’d draw their last breath.

Every once in a while, there comes a life that is rather peculiar.

This particular story follows Dr. Rosalene and Dr. Watts’ attempt to fulfill the dream of the dying elderly man, Johnny. In their mission to do so, they traverse backwards through the man’s memories, unfolding his curious life story before their eyes.

With each step back in time, a new fragment of Johnny’s past is revealed. And as the two doctors piece together the puzzled events that spanned a life time, they seek to find out just why the frail old man chose his dying wish to be what it is.

And Johnny’s last wish is, of course… to go to the moon.

Off Topic / New Year's Eve Drama
« on: January 02, 2013, 01:24:10 AM »
So last night me and a few of my friends went to a party in Rockwall, TX. We all live in Denton so it was a good hour away from home. The party was fairly live but we only knew one person there.
Because there were so many people there we decided to go check out a different party we heard about in the area until it died down a bit. After about an hour at the other party we headed back and there were significantly less people. This is when it started get interesting.

We were all chilling on the couch when a tall white guy walks up to our group, obviously plastered. He starts accusing my friend Roman of "stealing his beer" it was B.Y.O.B. so people tend to get mad when you take their beer. But we had only been there for maybe ten minutes and had our own beer. Suddenly he whispers something to his sleeping friend, who was also near the point of blacking out. The two of them walk over towards Roman and out of nowhere he bashes his beer bottle across the top of his head.
He was left dazed but surprisingly conscious. We all immediately jump out of our seats expecting a brawl to go down. I was able to land a hit on the guy with the bottle, but then got hit in the ear by his friend. We had a large black guy with us who tackled him to the ground, but at this point everyone else in the room began trying to break up the fight. Then the girl hosting the party tells US to leave if we were going to start a fight. The forget? Which is pretty much what I said to her. None the less we decided it was best to leave anyway, considering we were in their territory and everyone at the party thought we started the fight.
It still ended up being a fun night, we just went back to one of my friends houses to play beer pong until 8 in the morning.

Anyone else have interesting stories to tell?
