I take back my previous comment, those were my initial impressions. The game actually worked at the time. This launch was a massive failure because of your friendly neighborhood EA and their magical DRM.
I would not buy this game till these problems are fixed. Save yourself the trouble and frustration.

Game is actually not bad, Citites could be larger (Maxis said they would increase size eventually), DRM will be a major problem if you don't have a stable internet connection. Also not enough NA servers on launch and a ton of people had to wait in queues, but I don't know if this is still a problem. If you have stable Internet, I recomend this game. Don't bother with DLC you're only wasting your money.

2142 was one of my favorite games, I hope 2143 is on that list aswell, but you know, EA is EA.

And yes, the T-50 could very easily be the "Raptor Killer."
It's more like if the U.S. has something the Russians don't, then they have to have it, or the Russians have something the U.S. doesn't then they have to have it.
There's still a minor arms race going on, it's just that rapid aeronautical advances are not happening like they where in the 50's and 60's.
Example, if the U.S had a rail gun that was small enough to fit on a tank, it could be a game changer and the Russians would have to have it themselves to stay technologically equal.
