Games / Re: Sonic Adventure 2 HD Port! Coming to Steam, Xbox, and Ps3!

Suddenly noticed this topic. Where's the details?

Edit: I will honestly say I'll hack in Chaos because that's what I did to amuse myself in the Gamecube version - hacking in really special Chaos via extremely hard to find cheat codes. Not like I'd use it all uppity, or act like they are legit. I'll admit they're hacked and all. Just love how they look, how funny it is when they're ultra maxed out, etc. :)

Last bit of official notice before I pontificate for a bit about each game: both games will also be coming to PC digital download in the coming months, so if you’re a PC gamer (as I am) then you’re in luck — stay tuned for more info!

:panda: What? Months? Why the forget months?

I'm actually liking not setting off stuff with left click. I didn't realize how peaceful it'd be to break a door without it slamming open and close while I do it.

As long as you don't save or use it purely for recreation, you'll be good. No using it to be an ass online or beat stuff, okay?

I just power my o2 up to 3 bars.

I find investing in O2 a waste. The only times I've done it were when I maxed out shields, weapons, sensors, doors, etc. And then I'd just steal power off it for other things.

Paradon, at this point, having multiple full public releases would hurt the game since so many people depend on mods which need updates every time that happens. There have been so many bugs in these snapshots, and making it into the full release, we'd have 1.4.12 on our hands. I listed a bug that has existed since the first 1.4 snapshot, and they just fixed it for this snapshot. Snapshots help. In fact, Minecraft updates are more exciting, because instead of months of nothingness where you're playing the average game, you get to try out the new features, point out stupid problems so they don't end up in the public release loving you over, etc. You don't live with as many major bugs since they can be make it into a snapshot instead of only at public release points.

Edit: "Hmm, lets test naming and loring items in the snapshot... Getting the NBT right could be a pain... What to put, though...?"

Edit2: This one isn't as bad.

Edit3: This is sorta fun:

  • Minor terrain additions for the witch
  • Flatworld configuration now allows you to generate trees, strongholds etc
  • A number of new NBT tags for items (intended for custom map makers)
  • The pick block action now works on items
  • Pressing the 1-9 hotkeys while hovering over an item will put that item into the inventory bar
  • The left-click action will no longer open doors, pull levers, push buttons or open trapdoors. Use the right mouse button!
  • Firespread has been slightly nerfed again to prevent infinitely spreading fires
  • More bugfixes & tweaks!

Also, facepalm:

The redstone changes we did yesterday will not be in 1.4. We fixed incorrect behaviours, but those behaviours are used in many contraptions

So he's telling us he fixed a bunch of problems, but we won't get them until 1.5 because stuff depends on the broken system? Dude, we have the forewarning. It's not going to change much if you wait that long to apply it. If you're so much into redstone as to make stuff like this, you'll be able to fix it in a timely manner for 1.4.

Steam updates too often for a third party logger to keep up. Make them add one by default.

It is one of those controls where you only notice how annoying it is to not have it when it's gone. Think about your game interaction when left click does nothing. Of course it won't always be a problem, but you'll find yourself trying to click and getting nothing.

On another note, Simon doesn't know 1.3 fixed Skeletons fighting each other, and I think he still doesn't know this. It's sad because he tried to get a group of Skeletons to fight each other so he could escape, which since they only fight for a moment didn't work, so he died.

I noted the ladder update. It seems like a good idea, but everyone will forget up and it'll get reverted. Can't untrain both clicks doing the same thing in a mind.

What I mean by the revert is the game is really big and that is basic interaction. Shutting off a button's ability to do something it always has is probably a bad idea. :S I understand stuff forgets up when you do it sometimes, that's why he's doing this I'm sure, but so many people are going to screw up since left click won't do anything.

For consistency, doors, trapdoors, levers and buttons will no longer be triggerable with left mouse button :o

Here comes another "ladders have no collision" type revert. At least this will only affect the snapshots, though.
