I have 2 Ion Beams and a Heavy Ion, as well as a Pike Beam. What I did was focus all my ion beams on the triple rockets, which would have me either taking down the shields or disabling the rockets. I found autofire was bullstuffing me for the pike beam, always firing when the shields were up, so I manually used it whenever their shields were down.
They should add some augmentation where if an autofiring weapon can't do stuff at the moment, it delays the autofire until it can... Although then it'd be too easy mode, huh?
Edit: I also have a Anti-Bio beam in storage, but without my ion beams I can't take down the shields to use it. I know it'd be amazing against those starfishs in the weapons, but I'm not well armed enough to go without the ion beams.

Oh God, my first time breaking the flagship down a stage. Although I'm so royally forgeted up and can't get any repairs, I doubt I will actually beat the starfish flagship.

So I'm guessing this is regulated light, whereas the light coming through is about as much as you should get for the object blocking it. I'm going to tweet him about how this might effect light-levels.

It isn't a bad game. It does what games were originally intended: Entertainment. And the simply unexpected randomness does accomplish this for some people. If it doesn't for you, it doesn't matter. For example, this isn't for hardcore gamers. This is a casual game.

@Casiusss It only applies to newly genned chunks. Any previous chunks that have lighting bugs, you can just go up to them and place a block(Lighting is stored instead of having the game constantly recalculate it, which is why older chunks will still have the errors. But as he said, you can easily fix it.)
