Fascism is the new counter culture!
just like when those dirty jewish people kept stealing all our well earned german capital
This is dumb
I mean if you wear raunchy and suggestive clothing as you walk down the streets of a high-crime area, especially at night, you should expect something to happen. It's a no brainer, don't wear loveual clothing in a high-risk area at night.
Just like this situation, they should've expected something like this to happen for posting that on social media. They didn't deserve it, but should have expected it.
Obviously the tactic here is to keep attacking the same point! No. It's not victim blaming, I've already explained in length as to why.
I'm not saying they deserved it, because they didn't. I'm saying they should have expected this sorta fallout, because this response has clear precedent. If you think that's victim blaming, you're an idiot.
That is a completely different thing entirely.
Can you make a direct response instead of pulling irrelevant stuff out of the strawman's ass?
Guess not, because it's either that or tunnel vision.
Yeah, no, this isn't victim blaming.
Threats of arson and lying in reviews because of your political slant are irredeemable, but both are in reaction to the post. It's not like this reaction came from the left field, or is the first case of this ever happening.
I really hate what politics has done to this forum, but given that this thread has removed two colossal friends for the time being, maybe I should be more respectful now.
I don't have a strong position on whether I think reclaiming the N-word is 'good' or not, and I don't think having a position on it matters much since linguistics evolves naturally. All I'm saying is that our society rightfully thinks it's bad when white people use it, and it's patently bad parenting to encourage your kids to not give a stuff about saying things that are extremely offensive to the majority of people. That will forget them up real good in life.
We can argue over whether reclamation of the N-word is acceptable or not, but that's missing the point. Black people saying the N-word in our society is acceptable. If Corderlain's kids say it, people will assume they were raised like stuff by either a tribal or a neglectful parent. Even if you think people should freely drop the word, you're actively doing your kids a disservice by setting that kind of example.
This is the kind of maturity and restraint expected when raising a kid. Sending the message that your kids can say whatever the hell they want is the sort of thing an immature teenager would do when attempting to parent some other dude's kids.
The mark of successful parenting is raising kids who will drop the N-word in public because 'it's just a word'.
