What does this even mean
Welfare works in some cases but it's also abused in others, and it also seems to hold people back unintentionally. An example of this is my friend Johnny. His mom gets welfare, but he can't get a job. If he gets a job, they lose the welfare, and the job wouldn't be enough to support them without it.

Also this. I feel like welfare should come with certain conditions that allow for the person to work their way out of needing welfare. As it stands people who are on welfare tend to never get off of it for one reason or another.
