My first rant: People who get banned and why you shouldn't whine about it.

A lot of "respected" people have been getting themselves banned. Many of you wonder why they got banned or think they got an unfair ban. Let me tell you there are no unfair bans.

A ban is supposed to let you learn from your actions. And if you're banned, it's your fault. No exceptions. You didn't follow the rules so you aren't allowed access to the forums. That sounds completely fair.

Another problem I have is how people make different accounts when they get themselves banned. You're not fixing anything. You're pouring salt in the wound. Most people who evade bans haven't changed. You just want back to the forums because you're restricted from it.

You didn't like your ban? Too bad. You deserved it and you know it.


My second rant: Every new user is not an alt.

You're not a hero by dubbing everybody an alt. Just because they have more braincells than your friends and family doesn't mean they've had a previous account here. What if they've been to other forums and know how they work? Then it would seem they fit right in, no?

Nobody honestly wants to join a forum community that doesn't want them for the sole fact that they joined. You're giving a bad name for the forums. Anybody can ignore insults, anybody can ignore stupidity. It's just that it's unbearable when you have six other people stalking your posts calling you a dirty liar.

Think that if they can't handle it they shouldn't be here? That's the problem. They shouldn't have to handle it. This forum isn't divided by who's the toughest. It's a forum for an online block building game. It should be simple enough for you to be able to discuss about the game or talk about other things in off topic, which takes me to my last rant.


My last rant: Off Topic isn't being used as a blog or is in no way of a blog.

Yes, that's right. Off Topic is a board meant for discussions that don't have to do with Blockland.

That means you can talk about your new family car or that new movie coming out. Or you can talk about personal stories. I don't recommend it. Not because it's not allowed, but because too many people have to tell you they don't like you posting what they think you shouldn't.

It's not up to you what should or shouldn't be posted there! That's the administrator's job, dang it! Normal users don't have an ounce of control over any discussions that aren't yours!


And that's my three rants. I just wanted to get them off my chest.

I am not going to use quotes either because that's just not right for this thread. I am stating what I see wrong with the people and that I'm lazy. If you don't agree then okay.

He's annoying because he is. I cannot think of many base reasons except that he thinks he controls everything in the community board.

And when confronted about this, he turns to violent behavior. It's usually because he doesn't get his way that he starts in with the attitude.

EVERYBODY I DON'T IS ANNOYING. Or as it seems. I am starting off with the people that are so annoying that it aggravates me.

Canto is just seven kinds of mind shagging annoying-ness. He's one of those guys who you think to yourself "Oh no knot this guy" when he posts on the thread you're browsing. And it doesn't help he's uneducated and a control freak.

Previous, Rookie, and all those other people I've made a drama topic about under a week:

Off Topic / Easy pocket guide for survival against atomic monkeys

So your neighborhood is over-run with atomic monkeys. Don't panic, they can see fear from a mile away.

These steps are to help you with these simple tasks: Getting supplies, getting weapons, finding shelter and surviving the atomic monkey meltdown.


First off, monkeys are hungry. So Atomic Monkeys will be monsters as far as food goes. Gather up protein-rich foods like meats and dairies. Also bring 5-hour energy drinks, they give you FIVE hours of non-stop energy; and these babies' effects stack!

Secondly, you want to get something for self defense. Atomic monkeys HATE accordions. If you know how to play one, bring it with you at all costs. Melee weapons are too risky, as you have to get at least within twelve feet near the monkey. Things like a sub-machine gun or an anti tank missile launcher will work.

Third, shelters are useful against atomic monkeys. They hate the water so try taking refuge in a local underwater military base would be useful. Or maybe a mini-mall since the monkeys will get lost in it.

Next on the pocket guide is distractions. Atomic monkeys are still monkeys; remember to pack a spare banana for desperate measures. Shiny things work too. But don't worry about this part, distractions only work as fast as you can run.

Lastly; survival tips against the nasty creatures. Atomic monkeys can climb things, so try to be on top of tall buildings most of your time, this tires them out allowing you to run farther away from them. Buildings too far apart? No problem! Just get a bunch of bridges to get across them. Another tip is that Trucks and other vehicles attract Atomic monkeys. Leave as many vehicles running as a disctraction. The last tip is never be caught wearing high heels. The atomic monkeys draw power from them.


I hope you like my pocket guide. A few last things about atomic monkeys; their home is mainly in Alborgania and local zoos. Remember that atomic monkeys cannot hurt you in zoos, there's an invisible forcefield separating you and it. Have a safe holloween, everybody!

So I was bored. I thought to myself "Why not make a game?".

But I suck at coding.

Why not make a game with folders? That would be unique.


It's unique all right. It's about finding top-secret information for the government. You are supposed to infiltrate a german base and steal the top-secret information! I made it under two days and I guess it's short

And I used sendspace because I don't have any other knowledge of a free file hoster

Just extract the Zip to somewhere and begin by opening the folder. And there are no viruses, I wouldn't do that ;)

Drama / Deus Ex - Talent74, Previous and Rookie all over again.

It's such a weird phenomenon when one forumer is the same as another.

Take Previous. He was a jerk for no reason. Just like Talent74. Rookie is just like Previous. Flaming for no apparent reason.


I used to be mean, but not like this. These three (Now four) people set out on a quest to hurt people's feelings. They all three got several drama topics, they all three bawled their eyes out. And they all three have gotten banned*


Deus Ex is just like the three. It's getting annoying to have so many people act like a jerk all the time.

I know I have nowhere to talk, but it gets gear-grinding when you have a dipstuff flaming people constantly because they have a funny looking avatar, or they misspelled a wprd.

Creativity / MS-paint creations megathread!

What is MS-paint? It stands for Microsoft paint. The basic painting program that's easy to use!

How do I get to it? Click on the start icon in the bottom left screen, look in all programs, hover of "creativity" and it's in that folder!


It is easy to use, yes..but it's rather hard to draw good pictures with it.


The tools you have!

From left to right, top to bottom, I will describe each tool and how it works, and maybe even tell you some easter eggs about them.



Free-form select: Select and drag, then release to cut-out the part of the picture you found. Click and hold down drag to move the part you cut out. You can select on the left if you want the picture to over-lap anything.

Select: Hold down click and drag to cut-out parts of a picture. Useful for a lot of stuff. Click and hold down drag to move the part you cut out. You can select on the left if you want the picture to over-lap anything.

(Select easter egg: While dragging the cut out piece, hold down CTRL and move it, then let go of CTRL and move your mouse away from the piece while holding down click, you cloned the piece! Another thing is holding down Shift and dragging will stretch the piece.)


Eraser: Click and drag to erase your picture! What ever color you set as your backround will be what color the eraser erases to.

(Eraser easter egg: Hold down CTRL and press + on the numpad, it will make the eraser boundary bigger!)


Paint bucket: Click to fill one colored area with color, right click to fill the area with secondary color!

Eyedrop tool: Hover over a color and click, it will select that color as your first color. Right clicking sets the color as your backround color.

Magnifying glass: Click to zoom in, click to zoom out. You can select on the left how close to zoom in.

Pencil: Draw with a pencil, like brush but smaller.

Brush: Your main drawing tool; Click and drag to draw, right click to draw backround color. You can select on the left how big you want your "brush tip", or if you want it slanted, or square instead of round.

Airbrush: Use an airbrush as a drawing tool, it's good for decorating.

(Drawing tool easter eggs: Hold down CTRL and press + on the numpad, the size of the drawing 'tip' will be bigger!)


Text: Click on text, click somewhere and type in your keyboard, click outside of the boundary to stop typing. You can select if you want the text to over-lap anything or not.

Line: You can draw lines with this! Click and drag to draw a line, right click and drag to use backround color. On the left you can select how big you want the line.

Curve: First do like you do with line, then click and hold down to bend the line, it can be bent twice.

Rectangle: Make a shape by dragging, on the left you can select if you want it outlined, only a line or filled it!

Polygon: Works just like the Line tool, you have to drag and let go of the left mouse button in order to be able to click and drag the next side. To end your shape, make the lines end at each end.

Ellipse: You can draw a circle with this! Works like Rectangle.

Rounded Rectangle: You can draw an oval with this! Works like Rectangle.

(Line tool easter eggs: CTRL and + again will make the line bigger!)



Now for the color palette: You can click on a color at the bottom left to select it, right click to set one as a backround color, or CTRL-click to set it as the color-view icon backround! Double-click on a color to set the color properties!



At the top left, you have options. I will describe them in order from left to right!

File:

New: Starts a new blank slate.
Open: Opens a picture
Save: Saves a picture
Save As: Saves the picture under a determined name no matter what
Print Preview: Shows what it will look like on paper if printed
Page setup: Options for printing a picture
Print: Prints the picture
Send: Sends the picture VIA Email or fax
Save as backround: Saves the picture as your desktop picture
1 2 3 and 4: Last viewed pictures
Exit: Exits paint


Edit:

Undo: Undoes the the last thing you did
Redo: Redoes the last thing you undid
Cut: Cuts the cutout selection
Copy: Copies the cutout selection
Paste: Pastes the cutout selection
Clear Selection: Deletes the cutout selection
Select all: Selects everything
Copy to: Puts a cutout in that picture
Paste from: Pastes the picture from a selected picture on your current picture.


View:

Tool Box: Toggles tool box
Color Box: Toggles color palette
Status Box: Gets rid of the status bar at the bottom
Text toolbar: Can only be toggled during typing text. Change the size, font and properties of the text
Zoom: Goes to zoom options
View Bitmap: Views the entire picture


Image:

Flip/Rotate: Flip the entire image
Stretch/Skew: Stretch or skew the entire image
Invert Colors: Inverts the colors of the entire image
Attributes: Image properties
Clear Image: Clears the image
Draw Opaque: Makes the selected cutout transparent


Colors:

Edit colors: Toggles color options menu


Help:

Help topics: Tutorial about paint
About paint: Credits

A lot of people have interesting and in-depth stories of suprising and mind-blowing tales of ordinary life that's twisted into an adventure! But this thread isn't about that. It's about the half-suprising stories that aren't so cool but are still worthy of sharing.


Things like how this one guy at the mall smacked his face on a pole, or you got attacked by killer bees! It doesn't matter, just post them here if you feel the need to.

It's generally intolerable to have the same people constantly "discuss" over their favorite comic. It's okay to keep a megathread for it and all, but seriously; five threads a day is too much.


Because of these discussions, somebody got banned, dozens of threads got locked and nobody is still happy with the outcome. Right now, even Pew446 is using these comics to troll people for sick kicks. He already knew that people don't like the comic, and he posted "Who's your favorite character" in Off Topic just to get people raging for who knows why.

I'm not going to stand up for this comic, but neither am I going to stand up for the flamers, I may have been a douche in those threads, but it's getting out of hand, if you guys want to discuss your favorite comic, go Here.
