Vlog Brothers channels
Of course, how I could I forget!

John and Hank are the best! Not to mention Crash Course and SciShow, to go along with their main channels.

I really, really like Sir Sebastian. Every one of his videos is wonderful.

But I also love everything by Northernlion. And furthermore, I really like Game Theory by MattPat, but that's a segment, and I don't really watch his other stuff.

If you have lots of money, then you could get an iMac with the warranty on it. That way, if you threw it out the window, Apple would have to give you another one.

Wow. Milkshape looks a lot simpler to use than Blender.
The process for doing what he did in the OP is exactly the same in Milkshape as it is in Blender, you just need to wade through the GUI and get to the buttons.

Butterfly knives are overrated. I blame TF2.
Butterfly knives are cool and were cool prior to TF2. They are flashy and not very practical.

But we live in a society where the practicality of a knife isn't the most important thing when buying a knife, because we don't hunt our own food and guns are generally better for self defense.

Nice.  Did you finish the drill tutorial?
I was unaware I was supposed to do anymore. I guess I just don't understand what you want from the drill.

I was planning to make a topic like this, to show off my Milkshape tutorials.

Now, I don't want to be incredibly rude by showing my tutorials, but I think that if someone used to the search function for "Basic Milkshape3D Tutorial", they might want to see these videos as well.

Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Basics: Interface, Select and Move
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Basics: Rotate and Scale
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Basics: "File", "Edit" and "Vertex" Toolbars
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Basics: Right-Click Menu
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Tips and Tricks: Extrude
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Tips and Tricks: Autosave
Milkshape 3D Tutorial - Tips and Tricks: Bevel

(Here's a playlist of the videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqywovdpkvw&list=PL1ooQGMZKYUDhJE8nC-2smWeO0dBAes6m )

In response to your tutorials, they're great for doing exactly what they advertise.

Wait what. What do you mean redirected?
This links directly to the image file: (good)
This goes to image page on Postimage: (bad)
Uh, the second one is good, the first one is bad. It's similar to the image menu that Photobucket has, instead of just the image itself.

I just stuck img tags on both of the links.

Modification Help / Re: blender or milk shape?
« on: July 17, 2013, 08:26:51 PM »
Milkshape is wonderful and works great. Anybody that bashes Milkshape is only because they don't understand it. I use blender as well and I know that it is not going to be incredibly helpful in the way of making add-ons, at least not a significant improvement from Milkshape.

In my opinion, the programs are equal. Blender is more confusing, but the fact that it uses quads makes it rather easier to work with.

Simply, you should use Blender because it is free.

However, I would say that since Milkshape hasn't been updated or even thought about for 4 years, it is abondonware. What I'm trying to say here is that the official Milkshape website hasn't been updated since 2009 and as such should be considered abandoned, so any copyright is no longer valid. This means, in my opinion, and hopefully Badspot's opinion. It should be okay to get Milkshape via keygen. (I didn't, I bought it for myself, but I still believe that Milkshape is no longer being updated or acknowledged by it's developers.)

I believe that Milkshape is better for making Blockland things, because the process for exporting something like vehicles is much easier in Milkshape.

Edit: Most importantly, it is the modeler that makes the good models, not the program.

If you're just getting into scripting, I don't know if you would be able to script something with advanced functionality like those. (Backstabbing, autocloaking, health adjustment etc)

You might just want to find a model laying around that you can just script in game.
