i was actually just commenting on how the right's definition of "communism" continues to get broader, more nebulous, and less useful as time goes on but okay

weird cuz thats exactly what the left has been doing with "right wing extremism"

first, a society without private property was communism
then a state-controlled economy was communism
then taxes were communism
now regulations are communism
soon: all laws are communism
and then: anything short of anarcho-capitalism is communism

reminder though that this is almost certainly going to die in the House because republican congressmen will do literally anything to prevent government intrusion into industry, even in instances where it is incontrovertibly good for the American people

cool

Instill fear in conservatives over some sort of minority group that will [take their jobs/murder their family/leach off welfare/replace their religion] in order to rally them

If there's anything you can count on in politics to secure votes, it's conservative insecurities

this is, of course, in contrast to your strategy which is apparently to tax everyone and import illiterate thirdworlders with room temperature iqs who dont speak english and have no meaningful skills or assets

of course this is not an issue you actually have to deal with, seeing as you live in a prison island on which the extent of minority interaction is pointing at aboriginals drinking gasoline in petting zoos because your country is a bastion of multiculturalism and reason and not a perpetually burning garbage fire of spiders and autism with human inhabitants to complement the wildlife

No, but it begs the question why only one subset of the population is being predominantly convicted for one type of felony.

blacks are also the majority of convictions for murder, robbery, and gambling. just because one group or another makes up a disproportionate number of convictions for one crime or another doesn't make it a valid argument to say that x should be legal or y should be punished more. i'm sure the death penalty is unacceptable in this world just because it is applied disproportionately to blacks.

maybe we should go the european route and just get rid of life sentences as we know them altogether. after all, 56% of people serving life without parole sentences are black

You don't think the fact that our laws are biased to disproportionately arrest/imprison black people might have something to do with the lack of fathers in households? After all, dad can't be home if he's in jail.

unless 70% of them are in jail at any given point this probably is not how it works

do you legitimately believe marrying two criminals together will fix their issues with poverty and criminal activity, cause you should explain your reasoning a bit. parroting this data doesn't really prove anything other than black people marry far more infrequently than white, i dont think any of us understand your train of logic connecting marriage with doing better in life.

actually more like if they actually had families instead of raising children in poverty with no fathers and no support outcomes across the board would be better for the next generation. even more than that, marriage has an effect on the current generation by increasing life expectancy and lowering the likelihood of criminality

o About 70% of the juveniles and young
adults did not live with both parents
While they were growing up. More than
half (54%) reported having primarily
lived in a single-parent family.

o Among the juveniles in these facilities,
39.3% were held for a violent
offense, 45.6% for a property offense,
5.6% for a drug offense, and 7.2% for a
public-order offense. Just over 2%
were confined for a juvenile status
offense, such as truancy, running away,
or incorrigibility.

o Almost 43% of the juveniles had been
arrested more than 5 times, with over
20% of them having been arrested more
than 10 times in the past.

It's almost like being born into cyclical poverty and a prison-pipeline makes people's lives so unstable that they aren't willing to settle down in the 'burbs with a wife and kids. This sounds like more of a symptom than a cause, to me at least.

this is objectively not the issue:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/03/19/upshot/race-class-white-and-black-men.html

blacks raised in the top 1% of income earners still marry less frequently than a white kid raised in a household with a single parent working a minimum wage job, and that is mostly due to the exponential jump in the last 10%. whites raised in abject poverty in the lowest of the low for parental income as children still marry more often than privileged blacks raised in the top 5 to 10 percent.

If marriages solve everything, why are half of the killings of American women linked to domestic violence

This is the only good pro gun argument

probably because they rarely get murdered overall? a comfortable supermajority of murder victims are men. your own article doesn't even mention "married women", it clearly specifies "current or former romantic partner", which could be anything from a current husband to a former highschool boyfriend who had a psychotic break 20 years later.

Quote
Of those, 55 percent were intimate partner violence-related, meaning they occurred at the hands of a former or current partner or the partner’s family or friends. In 93 percent of those cases, the culprit was a current or former romantic partner. The report also bucks the strangers-in-dark-alleys narrative common to televised crime dramas: Strangers perpetrated just 16 percent of all female homicides, fewer than acquaintances and just slightly more than parents.

oh, and, surprise surprise, black women had the highest rate of being murdered by a romantic partner despite their average marriage rate being incredibly low. hmm.

Quote
being married is associated with an average reduction of approximately
35 percent in the odds of crime compared to nonmarried states for the
same man.
