I am tired of these forums. Way too much discriminating, way too many teens with raging hormones trying to look like they have brass balls. It's annoying, and even the forum admins are guilty of the same thing. It feels like national socialist Germany here.


As such, I am off, for now. If I am banned forever, so be it.

If someones wishes to copy/paste the Earth Sandbox thread and pick up the baton, be my guest. I am gonna end my country anyways.

It's been good, butI finally got pushed over the edge.

Alright, first off, 60 dollars or under. Also can not be earbuds, I hate those with a passion, abnd I would like it if they aren't the size of loving garbage cans and aren't brightly colored, and 3.5 MM jack. Little leakage would be nice as I will wear these on the bus.

So, andy suggestions? I can't get them right now but when my allowance comes in.

Help / ghost bricks disappearing randomly

I will be placing a brick, and all of a sudden the ghost will disappear. I did not hit insert, it just went away. Checked the console, nothing unusual. This happens on all of the bricks. I can still place it.

So, how2fix?

This is Earth, the original. It is 1900. Yes, that's right, it's not in the future but in the past. Time will advance as far as the players are playing.

All normal inventions have happened so far, such as electricity and lightbulbs. But, no countries exists. YOU my good friend have to come up with a country, and keep it from imploding. Obviously you do not have to do everything, and what your country is known for is up to you...

Please note the technology is currently 1900 standards. No trench guns, no M16s.


RULES

YOU CAN

- invent anything at whatever time it happens. Ex. modern computers in 1948

- your country can do anything it is capable of. Ex. go on a military rampage

- run your country in any way you want it to be run. Ex. a dictatorship or a democracy

- name your country what you want it to be named. Ex. snakeland yes, I will actually accept this

- use any technology that is at your disposal.

- GROW your country to be as big as you want it.

CAN NOT

the punishment for doing one of these or anything I deem inappropriate will cause your country to be wiped from existence.

- invent things in a ridiculous way and/or in a ridiculous amount of time. Ex. "WE GOT JET PLANES CUZ WERE AWESOME" or "WE FOUND IT IN A METEOR"

- try to hijack the thread from my control. Ex. "A massive meteor hits, causing all of existance to be wiped out. This thread is locked." EXCEPTIONS: if you are being a dipstuff and looking for some laughs I will not count it against you

- ask for a stupid amount of land. If you try to ask for a stupid amount of land then you won't get any. Ex. "I want half of the Earth!"

- steal technology from other people unless you send a spy or trade. Ex. "We got lasers from Country 1!"

- use technology that your country can not suppport materials wise and/or economically. Ex. have SR-71 blackbirds in a tiny poor country

- copy a real country. Ex. remake the USA

- change the name of your country after it is added to the map. Choose wisely.

GUIDELINES FOR WAR

Make sure all members involved are online. Be fair, and if you can not come up with anything use an odds calculator such as this one. Put in 0 - {your units} then 0 - {enemy's units}

Weapons can be anything as along as you have invented the neccesary technologies for them and the ability to produce them.

WHAT'S INVENTED?

Everything has happened historically normally up until this point. All historical happenings have happened up to 1900 except for ones involving real countries.


The timescale: 2 hours = a day, 1 day = a week, 4 days = a month, a week = a year

this can be changed if requested.

I really do. I only found megaupload so far as one of these but I am sure there are more. Forcing me to wait 45 seconds isn't gonna do anything but piss me off.



I am not gonna pay out my ass for some stuffty membership just because you added a bunch of flashy banners and counters.

Discuss websites that seem to only exsist for their own advertising.

I understand they need money for their servers but maybe if they would stop advertising themselves it would work better.

So, my sister's boyfriend broke up with her. However, he had a dog named Lilly, and she wasn't allowed into his apartments. But, he didn't want my sister to keep her, so she came by today and dropped off this mutt:

Sorry for the stuffty picture but it was the best I could get, it was dark out and my dad was asleep upstairs where she was so I couldn't turn on more lights. She also insisted on not staying still. My other dogs are 2 corgis and a maltipoo mix, but the two corgis stay outside.



She is shy right now but should get better, and she is really cute and well behaved :) Yes she is skinny but we are feeding her normally so it should improve.

Discuss this coolness of how I got a cool dog for free.

Games / How do I install a ship in Star Trek: Bridge Commander?

I... have the game patched to 1.1. I have the (epic) Kob...something mod installed but thr ships do not appear in-game.

I can not find a youtube guide or a dedicated modding forum so I decided to come here.

Off Topic / Good space combat games

I just want some good space combat games, I love space combat and I only have 2 games that use this (Gratuitous Space battles and S.P.A.Z).

So... any good ones? prefferably buyable off STEAM but I can buy them off Amazon as well, I don't give a stuff if it is old as long as it runs fine on W7 and has graphics (so no rogue-likes), and my PC is pretty powerful so it can be a fairly new game. And no I don't care if it is off of Star Trek or Star Wars.

I also would prefer if it involved mainly SHIP combat, I am awful at first-person-shooters.

This is from K-19: The Widowmaker, and plays during the scene where teams of 2 enter the insanely radioactive reactor hall of the sub, welding a temporary repair to cool the reactor and prevent a catastrophic meltdown and explosion (the sub was carrying nuclear ICBMs). Even though each team only goes in for 10 minutes, they are wearing useless chemical suits instead of radiation suits, and get fried.

Oh my god this is making me shiver.

Off Topic / Reviews: Trust them or not?

I am shopping for a new microphone, and a guy linked me one that looks nice.


However some reviews say it is pretty good, while others bitch about low sound quality and tinniness. My mom is bent on reviews, yet I bought a 3.5 star set of speakers off of Amazon and they sound great. One of the reviewers gave it a 1 star rating because they make a small AC pop when they turn on, and this leads me to believe reviews are heavily influenced by preferences.

So, trust reviews or tell them to forget off?


Also this is what I am wanting to buy.

I have 55 dollars from selling my stuffty Flip Ultra HD, as my iPod replaced it. So, I need a good STANDALONE microphone. Not a headset. It needs to be USB or 3.5 (3?) MM. And it can't be a webcam. Already have one of those.

Well... any suggestions?

Currently these are the suggestions:

Logitech USB mic


It needs to pick up voice well as I will be using it for Let's Plays.

It also needs a decent sized cord as my PC tower is in a bit of a strange place. If not then you need to link to an extender cord.

It is telling me that all of my CPU cores for my i5 are above 120 degrees F, and the HDD temp is 102.  Any other programs to test the accuracy?

BTW it is an app for my ipod that uses a PC application.

Alright, I am seeling my Flip Ultra HD for 55 dollars since my iPod has replaced it. I need a good desktop microphone, not a headset. It needs to use a 3.5 MM or a USB, and it needs a fairly long cord. I am looking at this one..

I will be using it for Lets Plays, so it needs to pick up voice well.
