Off Topic / Should I sell this game?

I have the game IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. I love this game but it's been getting on my nerves recently.

1. The game is getting old. I do not like the FX, and there is no gore so there is no way to tell if a pilot is killed. The AI also will randomly fly straight into the ground and into mountains.

2. The game has hundreds of mods for it but as soon as I start modding it it becomes an unstable time-bomb. I have deleted it for the third time because of some bullstuff with the mods I can not work out, and it either works or the game refuses to even load.

3. There are several newer ones out. Cliffs Of Dover is almost brand-new, with improved everything. Not as many planes however; 30 compared to 1946's almost 80. Also the cool experimental aircraft are gone.

Are these good enough reasons to sell this game? its old so I can't get much money off of it, but oh well. I don't want it lying around if I am not gonna play it.

I'm trying to get music off of a cd I just burned to my xbox's hard drive. How do I do that? It's reading it as a data CD.

Off Topic / What the hell has happened to cartoons on CN?

I watched an Ashens video, but there was a 30 second ad before it. I waited the 5 seconds to skip it but it showed a poorly animated banana... dancing... and singing... and then it started showing a mosaic of IT doing this... with a couple of them showing it's naked butt jiggling around... and then it RIPS OFF ITS OWN loving PEEL, ITS "DAD" COMES IN AND STARTS DANCING WITH HIM, THEN LEAVES LAUGHING. Then it ends.

My jaw almost hit the god damn floor. When it showed the cartoon network banner at the end I yelled "WHAT THE forget"

I remember watching Ed Edd and Eddy when I was about 7, and that was funny to my little eyes, but this... this is like promoting pre-teen prostitution. I stopped watching CN at the age of 9 and I am glad.


Discuss how stuff has hit the fan for cartoons.

Off Topic / Is there any way to make a glossy screen matte?

The TV in my basement has a glossy as hell screen, and there is a big window behind the couch that faces the TV. It drives me loving nuts because the blinds only block a tiny amount of light, and I can barly see anything on games unless I turn the brightness up to cataract mode. Is there any way to help this without buying new blinds?

This is why you don't friend people on Facebook who are under 13. The iPhone 5 doesn't even exist yet.

Facebook needs to monitor things closer. I don't give a rat's ass if people see my name, so I didn't censor it.

EDIT - I know that it auto-typed the post, but people need to learn that this stuff doesn't work.

This is incredibly annoying. I tried to watch a documentary about the Gimli Glider but loving Smithsonian Networks decided to be cigarettes and block it from the USA.



It is a Canadian/American show... so... WHAT THE forget?

Off Topic / My school has finally got the iPads running

My school FINALLY received their iPads, and have them working. I did a project on one for reading class and used a program that was almost like PowerPoint, and was amazed at how it worked. Then in Language Arts, our teacher played a game with us where we used a white board app called ShowMe, which was fun. They actually worked better than I expected.

My school made a smart choice for once!

I always end up hurting myself on random objects. Like right now, I managed to pinch myself between the armrest of my chair and the desk (this is why I wish my parents would stop being stubborn and admit this desk is stupid) and it hurt like hell. I always smash my knee against the wooden footboard of my bed when I am stumbling around in the dark, and once my foot got crushed by a damn garage door.

Discuss how annoying it is to hurt yourself randomly.

Off Topic / How do I compress a WMV file?

I recently started uploading Let's Plays, but the length of the videos is making the upload time unbearable.  I tried VirtualDub, it refuses to open the video. I can't save it as a different format, Windows Movie Maker only exports in WMV. Is there any way to compress a WMV? I am about to lose my loving mind.
