it's still a plausible pronunciation for it, though

I pronounce it kat-uh, but at this point I don't really stress the T so it sounds more like kaduhdayuss, just like PowerDag said

versus "kat" as in "cat"
they're two totally different sounds. and there is a difference when said as part of "katadeus"
