Games / Re: The used game market - My opinion
« on: July 14, 2011, 06:15:34 PM »
why? the game was already bought new. why should that copy give the developers money again? it's already been sold.
Thing is, when you go to buy a game new, you are asked if you want to buy it preowned for cheaper, and people tend to say "yeah, okay." without thinking.
If the guy said no, then that's one more sale than what it would have been.
They should just make game sales digital because my fatass doesn't like going all the way to gamestop to pick up new games.
That too.

game vendors want to make money too you know.
They still get a profit of regular sales, but they can at least cut some of the cash to the developers.

Games / The used game market - My opinion

Yeah, we probably know this:
When we buy a game used, No money goes to the developer or publisher. that's bad.
But we also know that it was bought new at least once, but it's still bad.
Then I had a train of thought while watching Totalbiscuit's mailboxes for the 13/04 and 14/04, where used games crop up a few times.
Why don't the game shops hook up with the publishers of games, so that when a game is bought used, money goes to the devs and publishers too.
Thoughts on this, anyone?

Well, it sure as hell won't be "epik", but you can make a good computer with that kind of money.
The PC that Pcgamer built for the specific purpose of running F3AR like a god is just over £700.

I'd love hearing "DUCK, YOU PLONKER!" Instead of "watch it, sniper" in CS:S.
