When Martin Septim broke the Amulet of Kings, turned into an avatar of Akatosh and defeated Mehrunes Dagon at the end of Oblivion.
Then I about broke my controller in half because I didn't get to fight the final boss.

Yeah, and then Michael Jackson was consistently in the news for the rest of the summer. He died, and then we milked it for every entertainment second we could muster.

I believe someone published a novel about it. Two weeks after his death.
