The feds have better things to do than arrest someone for selling a video game made twenty-thirty years ago.
It's a modern DS game.

Also fun fact. The Old Super Mario Brothers 3 made it's first appearance in a movie called "The Wizard" which was just pretty much a Nintendo advertisement that ran for a little over an hour.

Vincent, do you plan on working at drawing different poses anytime soon? Your character designs are great but some variety in what they are doing would be even greater.

Wait.
People actually still play FHSW?
Holy stuff.

I all the sudden love this community.
Not too many people actually. Most people have forgotten about the mod. I just love the idea so much that I have to revive it every so often.

Suddenly an explosion blasts out the side of the giant machine. It only caused minor damage but it drew its attention.

"SERGEANT! INVITE THAT BLOKE OVER FOR SOME TEA!"

That second shot tore a hole. The sweeper was angry and it looked occupied.

"RUN YOU BLOODY IDIOTS"

You can make out a ravine off in the distance. The water there might serve as protection. On the other hand there appears to be a road a few miles beyond it. It doesn't matter to me where you go.

Even when I copy over all the files, it still says "no games found" when I load up dedicated server on the VPS.

Doesn't sound like much of an issue. Do you manage to load the server all the way or does it close itself out?

It looks outdated. Just use the one in the Origin folder.

So you guys have no idea?
Then how are you hosting it?
Im not running the full game on my VPS.
Q: Can I run a dedicated server for the game?
A: Yes, you can run a dedicated server by running the file “DedicatedServer.exe”. It is located in the folder where you installed Battlefield 1942 through Origin. This will present you with all available settings, maps and modes for you to customize before pressing the button “launch server”. This server will be visible to all other players via the server browser.

There, took a little digging.

So you don't want me to host anymore?

edit: Where do I download the hosting program? (preferrably without having to get this origin crap)

That it?

Well you were offline when we did

EA said you could host a dedicated server but they didn't specify where to get it

WELCOME TO THE MORE FUN ALTERNATIVE TO WORLD OF TANKS

This is Operation RattTrap. An Objective mode where the Axis and Allies have the biggest amour battle in the History of El Alamein (this didn't actually happen).

The Axis have revealed their secret weapon, Ratte. The worlds largest waste of steel and gas. It is a giant-ass tank piloted by one man and assisted by 15 more crew members who man 15 equally deadly guns that cover the entire tank. Ratte has two main guns, both with an incredible range and incredible splash damage. It can destroy an entire group of tanks and vehicles with only one of its deadly blasts. It is a weapon of terror. It is a weapon of MIGHT. Ratte's objective is to destroy the allies bases and it is incredibly hard to destroy. The only way to destroy Ratte is to bomb the heck out of it using aircraft, or to destroy it from the inside placing mines on it's warhead armory. To do that though you have to destroy one of it's main turrets to create a hole in the massive fortress. You as an ally have an advantage over it for it is incredibly slow and it's up to the Allies to throw EVERYTHING they have at it.

AXIS TEAM INFORMATION
Ratte hosts 16 members total, including the driver who also controls the two main guns. The Axis also have an assortment of separate vehicles to assist Ratte. It is your objective as the Axis to destroy the Allies two main bases using Ratte, which once destroyed will end the game and reset the round. A little warning. The Axis only have 100-200 tickets. Tickets Represent Rattes internal health and corresponds with the healthbar that the driver can see while driving. Once the ticket counter reaches zero it's game over and the allies win. This is why operating outside of Ratte is only to be risked when absolutely necessary.

The Axis have additional vehicles to bring the fight to the allied armor. If all 16 positions on Ratte are filled you can use the armored weapons found at the Germans multiple outposts.

Axis Helicopters

YES there were helicopters during WW2... most of them prototypes. One helicopter can be found at the multiple outposts in the entire game. They respawn fairly quick so wait times are not an issue. Each chopper at each location has a special ability, ranging from rockets to smoke bombs. There is one choopper located on top of Ratte for a quick getaway if things go awry.

This one has six machine guns

This one has eight smoke bombs

this one has  a machine gun

This one went to market

Axis Tanks and AA tanks
The Axis have a large variety of tanks and some of them are AA. They can be used to engage enemy armor and aircraft if necessary. If you're a AA, don't be a hero and attack a Black Prince. It's silly looking.

Regular Tanks

This is Ratte, and yes I realize the irony of it being in the regular tanks tab. I've described this Tank to you already.

This is a MAUS. It's name is so manly that when you get inside it you grow chest hair. This tank will deflect all light armor type ammunition.

This is the Panzer IV. It likes strolls in the park, and it dines with the devil. It also hosts rad softball parties on the weekends. It kills.

This is the Panzer TRIPLE-EYE. It's cute face will blow off yours.

This is Blitzwing, he is one of Megatron's favored warriors and he also turns into a space shuttle.

Axis Trucks

What the truck? Both Axis and Allies have similar trucks which heal infantry units when nearby. It moves quickly and can carry a large amount of people if you want to give tank drivers a high score. It honks it's horn to scare off predators.

ALLIED TEAM INFORMATION
You're the good guys. Or at least who were perceived as the good guys as determined by history. Your objective is to take down Ratte by destroying it through bombing, Using artillery guns, or destroying it the cool way, which is from the inside. You place mines on it's warhead cache to destroy it. The allies have to utilize the weaponry provided. Lucky for you, all if it is pretty cool and powerful stuff, and Ratte is slower than Grimlock in a dedicated transformers episode. The Allies have a larger variety of vehicles than the Axis, and I'm not going to list exact numbers because I'm lazy. The Allies have the following weapons at hand.

Allied tanks and AAA tanks
Again, You also have AAA on this team amongst the throng of all the other cool weapons available. It makes good anti infantry and it can probably make short work of a Flying Mega Shooting national socialist Uber Chopper.

Regular tanks

It looks like a Crusader, it drives like a Crusader, it shoots like a Crusader and by golly it must be a Crusader

As opposed to the Panzer Triple-EYE, it's face isn't as cute. It spits out Churchill sized cigars and can about blow up anything. Terrible reload times and it's probably just as slow IF NOT SLOWER than Ratte.

This is a Cromwell tank. It likes ice-crom and it looks well.

This is a Matilda tank, like its effeminate name it lacks a gun. HAHA just kidding, it has a gun but it sucks. Anti Infantry vehicle right here.

This is a Valentine Gap Clearer. If you think bunny-hopping is annoying then you probably shouldn't engage this tank. Tanks with special abilities have to have a second player to control it. One player makes it jump, the other drives and mans the main gun.

I honestly can't figure out what practical use this thing has in the field other than looking like Wall-E in the desert heat. The praying mantis is a two-manned anti infantry tank that has the ability to raise its main turret with two hydraulic arms. You know, in the case that the gunner can't shoot you because you went climbing into a tree.

This is the Sherman tank, like most American tanks it boasts speed and average firepower. Most effective in large numbers. It's also can be mistaken for a fat man in the desert.

This is Stuart. He made entirely of chocolate

The Black Prince boasts a 76mm gun and is equally matched to the MAUS. It represents Great Britain's massive ego.

Allied trucks and additional vehicles

Again, you wouldn't be caught dead driving one of these full of troops in this game. It's mating call attracts members of the same assembly line and other unwanted guests.

This is the Willys jeep. It's armed with a bren, a browning, and some other gun. It's good for anti infantry and it's speed makes it a good way to reach goals.

These are tracked transporters. They come either unarmed or armed with a 20mm gun and light LMGs. They are also very fancy latrines.

This is the daimler armored car. It's speed an agility as an assault vehicle makes it good for zipping around an enemy and shooting it in the back. It's also used as bait.

Allied Aircraft

This is Mozzie. Mozzie is a short balding man with a love for fine wines, cold-war era equipment, and quotes from various authors and artists.

This is the British Spitfire, during the war it made national socialists stufffire.

It's some sort of bomber

BEE SLEVENTEEN BALMER

This is the C-47, its one of those trucks I mentioned before except with wings. If you're lucky enough to fly this without getting shot by AAA, then you can use it to parachute troops on top of Ratte.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
As an infantry unit you can find various specialized kits throughout the game in buildings. This can range from Tommyguns to a very cool bazooka. Kits can be picked up off the floor by pressing G while standing over it. Health boxes and ammo boxes can also be found in storage buildings.

NETWORKING INFORMATION AND HOW TO JOIN

Like all good things, this comes with a price, and that price is work. To play this gamemode you are required to install some vital tools and mods.

Step 1. Make sure you know where your Battlefield 1942 game has been installed. The installer this mod comes with automatically picks its own path so you have to redirect the installation to the correct folder. This server will not work for those using the CD version of the game so your Battlefield Installation will have to look like this: C:/computer/programfilesx86/Origin Games/Battlefield 1942

Step 2. Obviously by the judgement you make from step one, this means you have to install Origin. Head down to ORIGIN.com and download it. Battlefield 1942 is free to play and costs no money. Install Battlefield once this is done. If you don't need to do this step, good for you.

Step 3. With that issue out of the way, you now need to install both Forgotten Hope 0.7 and Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons expansion.Remember, Install Forgotten Hope 0.7 FIRST! I will link these to you for your ease of access.

Forgotten Hope 0.7: These are some pretty large files so please keep your patience.
PART 1
PART 2
PART 3

Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons:
PART 1
PART 2

Step 4. At the end of Forgotten Hope Secret Weapons installation it will prompt you to install a windows7/vista compatibility fix. Install this or maps while loading with crash repeatedly.

Step 5. You are done! Head on over to the Multiplayer Screen and click "Add Server". Enter this IP: 5.191.128.76 (Need Hamachi to join woops)

Step 6.DOWNLOAD HAMACHI. Don't you give me any bellyaching about this. Hamachi only takes less than a minute to get running and is easier than people give it credit for. Go onto their website and download the UNMANAGED client. Search for the room RAT TRAP 1 and enter the password "blocklandforums". If that still doesn't work then I know that feel bro.

We will Host every Weekend. We will begin Hosting Tomorrow at 12:00 EST. You can be best prepared if you get the installation done sooner than later. Not that you have to.
