I hardly ever check the forums now. Discord killed this place.

dont think it was just discord. discord has just ended up on top cause of it being a viable alternative to here, which typically is actually moderated and therefore ends up being a more friendly nicer environment. i guess also because this site isnt very mobile friendly compared to discord being good on mobile. many people still prefer the forum style where multiple conversations can happen at once in different threads instead of a single conversation channel where said conversations can be lost and interrupted and such
so you're not wrong but i wanted to state this anyhow, the internet forum isnt obsolete at all (though old site software is old)
..also ive just realised i dont even think this is what this topic is about Whoops

can someone rate this build and give me some other info, like if there are better options for certain parts. my overall budget is ~$1500

use an ssd instead for faaaar faster performance. use a ssd+hdd combo if too expensive (for example getting just a 150-250gb ssd for OS and programs and hdd for everything else)

a bit offtopic but this guy found my youtube channel waaay back in 2011 when i first started it and i remember he left like one or two comments that were rly nice and that was so cool to me back then because he was the first commenter and subscriber that wasn't already one of my friends. rly appreciated that as a kid and it gave me motivation to keep going. he didnt have to do it considering my videos back then were very stuff and i had the worst voice ever but it was a rly nice thing to do to a kid. tysm dude if ur reading this

i made two reg files to make this easier - just run them and itl automatically set the registry for you, assuming your browser is installed in its default directory on your C: drive.
