And you should be thankful that it hasn't been. What's your point here? What he's saying is that most people expand their limitations, rather than live under them.
autismWhat, were you misinformed about my master plan of autism?
it's all in this post
w0w hey guiz ogmm 1mm sco coolz ium gunna edit da syubjct i evn hav c00l in my avater hahaha lmao xd loooool!!!one11!one!This is a whole different level.
However, the engine still has limits. We could just keep supplying weapons and vehicles but people then realize that it gets a little boring, and we need updates to get people motivated again. We don't have full control of the game by add-ons and it's up to the creator to add more possibilities. After all, the game is old now and should just be remade or abandoned.Exactly.
Perhaps I should have been clearer. Sub Rosa is an early access game currently, and the post was one of a few about changing engine to something more mainstream, since the game is on a small, independent engine for a blocky style. An early access game? How the forget? Not sure how you get a comparison out of that besides the engine change remark, and I know blockland is never gonna do it. Yeah. Not gonna happen. I know. :(
The point I was making is more to point out how stupid suggesting an engine change off hand is.
I would hardly call those game changing, barring vehicle physics, and even then there are ways around most of them. Regardless most of those seem to be deeper/fundamental issues in the game that might not be fixable quickly.
Also you have a very negative view of the community. Most modders and addon makers are content with the response they get from the community, I can't think of anyone else who left for that reason. Ephi seemed to think he deserved more I guess.
How on earth has this game gotten such a disgustingly entitled community? This is literally the only place I've ever seen this problem, jesus.Probably because games like G-Mod and other games with the same payment style as Blockland have set up expectations to be updated once every 6 months at least? And other communities don't feel entitled this way because they actually GET those updates?

Yeah. If you want to write a revolutionary rendering engine for Badspot that fixes all texture filtering issues, feel free. Otherwise, get used to it.Didn't do this before the S/S update. Looks fine in v20.
Most of theseMy reply wasn't to him. Try using your eyes, and gazing at the post directly above mine there. Yeah. Just try that.
This counts as admittance to trolling btw.
Its all fun and games until people start getting chain banned.
tell us deo!one sec, taboobie is onto me
enlighten us then, what was your master planIt was a master plan. You figured it out.
The community are the ones who supply the contentUntil every add-on creator gets Ephi'd, right?
Quote from Ephi "I got bored of putting more effort into the game than the guys who make it"
Why is it always the same people complaining? The forget? Please tell me you're joking
The sort of new players that won't play for lack of development were probably never going to play the game for long anyway and a stable game that doesn't change often supports mods. (Would the hat mod be so developed if there was one implemented? Could a large update upset well used mods?)The hatmod would more-likely be even more developed if it was implimented in a proper way.
What really bugs me is that this behavior is spreading even to games with faster development
Since when was frequent large updates in a finished game an expectation?
I think that at this point a new engine must be put in, since torque is already struggling enough. You and I can only dream
Not to mention the addition of shadows and shaders, literally pushing the engine to it's limits.
you forgot bot holesIndeed I did.
i'd really like to see some of the annoying issues in blockland fixed, such as precipitation going through bricks, or the weird fog limit line, or even the small glitches with transparent bricks.Yeah, and the precipitation thing was mentioned in the interior/terrain thread. kompressor said something about fixing it, but It never got done.
The only updates I really would love are those that expand the game's limitations, even a little. Please, someone! Give Badspot some coffee! c:
Something like increased amount of image slots would be a massive thing for developers but I'm not sure if it will ever be done.
Vehicle physics glitching into bricks is a massive issue as well, and it makes the karting gamemode virtually unplayable for me.
I would also love full .ifl support (the thing that players use for decals and faces), it seems to work perfectly and I even got it to work with my models but .ifl's are not even networked correctly if they're custom. This means we can't have custom models with decals/animated decals on them.
