Games / Battleships Forever - space lasers and exploshins
« on: November 07, 2011, 02:32:32 AM »

Lasers, space, asteriods, explosions, its like heaven on a screen. Command fleets of ships, destroy alien bases, defend caravans, MAKE THE DEATH STAR 2D!!!! Comes with a ship creator, sandbox mode, and a nice campaign mode. Vast array of weapons and modules, shields, point defense systems, teleporters, giant ass laser beams, and nuke launchers.

Now for copypasta:
Quote
Battleships Forever is a freeware tactical Real Time Strategy game that put's you in command of a small fleet of warships in space. Combat and damage mechanics are extremely detailed. Everything is simulated in game if possible. There are no abitrary "to hit chance" values in Battleships Forever. The game also features many innovative mechanics that you've never seen before. For example, the Cronus Battleship sports a Flux Shield generator that allows you to draw a defensive force shield around your ships in any shape you want. Another example are the Deflector modules that are used extensively through the game. These modules make a single section of a ship totally invulnerable to fire. This means that you will have to manoeuvre your ships to attack sections of the enemy ships not protected by Deflectors while keeping your own protected sections facing the enemy. Position is paramount!

Players will command picked fleets made up of Battleships, Destroyers and Patrol Craft. The completed game will include ten campaign missions and multiple skirmish modes.

A cool formation of ships. Very effective.

space lasers

I could take that fleet on easy.

And now for my demonstrations of what I have created in this vunderbal game.

The Devastator, long ranged cruiser that moves very slowly and is weak but can blow the forget out of stuff.

The Medelle, medium and close ranged battleship equipped with rockets and scatterbeam lasers. Also has a repair module.

The Dragon, a bombardment fighter, near 0 health, but can keep a base under siege for a while.

FOB, a (incredibly) slow mobile space station. Attacking it usually leads to death, deflector devices keep it safe along with the rotating gatling cannon.

The Genus, incredibly nimble ship equipped with a repair module and impulse deflectors. It has no offensive guns, its purpose is to repair damaged craft.

The Minna, a mining ship. Pretty unimpressive, i just wanted something that flew sideways.

Pater, drone launchers, grav beams, flux shields, deflector modules, this things deadly at a distance. Great support ship.

The Silver, nimble fighter, pretty generic.

umg spac batle

look at those medelle's go

But of course you want downloads, so I will provide! (windows only, get wine and wine bottler if you want to play it on a mac)
(link changed due to rules that I forgot)

Yeah, i really love this game. The ship maker is great, and sandbox mode is just where its at. You can make giant meteor showers, planets, asteroids, nebula's. I also like the many weapons and modules that they have. Things from wimpy pulse guns to big poppa nuke launchers.

This was created using Blockland, and therefore it is a Blockland creation.

It does belong in Gallery.
So maps should be in gallery too then.
