Add-Ons / MoneyMod [Public Release; v2_5; bugfixes]

I've had this awhile and even planned to release it, but never got around to it.

it was for Destiny/Zack0Wack0's scripting contest, but that round has been over for awhile.

Features:
-Currency System (of course)
-RTB Prefs to change the currency symbol as well as the amount of money players start with.
-RTB Prefs for some of the events below.
-Events (Self > MM_payFor; MM_onPaySuccess; MM_onPayFail; MM_addMoney; MM_deductMoney; MM_setMoney)
-Variable Conditional Events variable replacer for money. (<var:player:curMoney>)

Commands:
-/moneyInfo - Used to show the money stats.
-/grantMoney [player] [amount] - (Admin Only) Grants money to a player.
-/takeMoney [player] [amount] - (Admin Only) Takes money from a player.
-/dissolveMoney [player] [amount] - (Admin Only) Dissolves a player's money.
-/giveMoney [player] [amount] - Gives money to a player.

i know some of these have already probably been done, but i'm posting them anyways.


Computers using Projectiles/Relays
Including ALUs, CPUs, maybe even some sort of 1x1 print screen with a GPU.
It'd probably not be worth it or maybe not possible, not sure. I'm tired right now, it just seems like an interesting concept.

They obviously wouldn't be powerful, and not at all very useful for anything, but they'd be really neat if possible.

I have seen Halcynthis make a sort of Paint program using somewhat complex logic relays, but it was pretty dodgy.


Memory
Somewhat like the above. Memory using projectiles or relays. May not be possible, just a neat concept.

Calculators
I've yet to see a well-working calculator on Blockland. I'm sure it's possible.

Transformer sort of thing.
"Transformer" may not be the word I'm looking for, basically what I mean is a contraption that allows you to play a wide variety of sounds using relays or projectiles. It's been done before, but only in simple ways.

Random Number Generator
Seen it done a few times, but again, in simple ways.


the above are ideas, i just think it'd be interesting to see these done, looking back, i've seen some pretty complex arcade games using only projectiles.

i got to thinking what we could do with even more complex networks of similar things, maybe make a computer that isn't simple as duplicating a plate into a slot and having the computer run off that.


I'm tired, I may not even remember making this thread in the morning.

Would these be possible, and if so, who would participate in making some of them?

Modification Help / Processing onRelay.

I'm trying to make a script that processes the input event onRelay on any bricks within a radius, I'm using a containerRadiusSearch to do this, and it doesn't seem to work. It only activates on the brick that the search is started at.

I tried processing a single brick in the console, and no matter what I did, it'd just process it on the brick that did the radius search, even when it wasn't included.

Random Player Chat

Basically all it does is replace %2 in chat with a random player in the server.

I honestly have no idea why this was needed, but I decided to make it anyways for slimabob.

Added a minigame event that messages all in chat that are in the minigame.
%1 = person who gets the message
%2 = person who activated the message

Yeah, starting this back up.

Sci-Fi RPG Singleplayer sort of game (POSSIBLY MAYBE MIGHT BE MULTIPLAYER TOO)

will more than likely be free if and when it's done (if i charge anything, it'd be just something like $2.99 or something.)

Off Topic / Odd Things Happening Recently.

Recently some very odd things have been going on.

Sometime back in June, I was outside letting my dog use the restroom. Suddenly there was some sort of rumbling. It sounded and felt like a motorcycle or car passing through the neighborhood, but there was no vehicle of any kind. After the rumbling stopped, from the north-north-eastern part of the neighborhood, there was some sort of loud sound that sounded like thousands of cicadas at once, sweeping through the entire area going straight. It stopped on the western side of our house, my dog started barking. I looked over and saw a rabbit, so that was probably what it was.

The other day, I was in Mount Hope, AL, visiting my grandparents. A similar thing happened when I was in the kitchen, I heard no rumbling that time, but there were sounds of lots of crickets coming from the north-north-eastern part of the town, the sound stopped on the eastern side of the house, then went back, came forward again, and repeated that a few times.

On a side note, after the first time, occasionally every few days, I'd hear random rumbling and whistling outside, which I've been dismissing as wind since it normally happens around the time there are storms.

What's going on? It's beginning to concern me a bit.

Also, I see nothing that would be making the sounds.
Not in the trees, a tornado had passed through Mount Hope awhile back and there were no trees they could have been in.

I want to know what I should get.

I'm thinking I should get a newer version of Torque2D so that I can actually work on Surreal Cosmos again, which is $99.

Then I'd have money left.

Modification Help / Sort of sight range search.

What I'm trying to do is add something to gameConnection::onDeath that makes every player do a sort of search to see if they can see the player who died and who killed the player. There could also be a first, instant search and another search a bit later to confirm if they saw or not.

I'm thinking this is possible with raycasts or some container search of some sort, but I don't know where to begin to do this.
