I sure as hell don't believe 585 people went "Oh yeah, this woman being put on trial a second time for treason/mishandling of confidential information/lying to the FBI should be president!"

:/
first thing: she was never put on trial a first time as i was corrected on. she could not go to trial a second time for the same crime unless it they were treason charges as was said before, which is not likely what the charges would be considering they didn't place those charges before and these new e-mails aren't even hers.

second thing: nobody is saying she's going to trial at this point anyway because they haven't even figured out if the e-mails in question are problematic.

third thing: the e-mails in question aren't from clinton, they're from/to an aide that used the same server.

fourth thing: as i said, these are people that already supported clinton, and it's likely that the reason they are more inclined to vote is because they weren't actually planning on voting before, and now they will because they know this will make the race closer.

it's probably more so that you're just associating behaviors with visual traits, but there may be some weak connection. correlation, as always, doesn't imply causation

i'm pretty sure it's because it's highly improbable that that many people would actually be more inclined to vote for clinton given recent events
that'd be a bit of a misinterpretation of the data

slight correction: 13% of 4500 people who already supported clinton. 1% of those who were undecided, 0% of those who already supported Annoying Orange.

this could be explained by a perception of higher stakes, people that know they don't want Annoying Orange but may not have been planning on voting may decide it's more important for them to do so now. just a guess, though. contended elections tend to result in higher turnout, and controversy like this would certainly stir that pot.

General Discussion / Re: Why is the colorset limited to 64 colors?

because Badspot has an OCD hardon for multiples of 4 for whatever reason.
it's just that you can only represent 64 distinct values with six bits

Here we go again, throwing around the word "racism" like a loving football. Everyone who acknowledges the concept of race is a tribal. Someone out there a couple hundred years ago just decided to start misusing "tribal" because people didn't agree with them and it stuck and now everyone thinks its an actual term for racial prejudice.

by all metrics this is 100% incorrect. and even if it wasn't, if everyone agrees that a word means a certain thing, then it practically means that thing

any prejudice/bias is learned or conditioned into someone. if, for instance, during one's socialization, it was treated as normal to be suspicious of certain people, then that behavior would be adopted, and it might be difficult to unlearn after an extended period of time, because our brains tend to look for information that fits the patterns we believe to be true, and actively seek patterns where none may even exist, which enforces previous biases and establishes new, tangential biases.

the best way to avoid becoming prejudiced is to never let yourself become biased against people in the first place. the moment that happens and you accept that bias as truth, the reinforcement process is out of your control unless you realize it's happening. people who are tribal have probably always been tribal, and will most likely always be tribal because people see things through their own reality, not an objective one.

to be fair, cannibalism does happen fairly often in nature. mothers of certain species cannibalizing their babies, in fact, is a well-documented method of managing litter sizes.

of course humans would do this too in dire circumstances, but since there's typically no necessity for us to do so, it's pretty much a net loss unless the person is already dead, in which case you then run into the ethics of what you should and shouldn't do with a corpse

Rape, murder, necro, or shemale
how in forget is that last one even amongst the rest lol

No, but my point is he acted like they won't find anything dancing, and they sure as hell will. We know she had classified information on that server, it won't be hard for them to find the same. What will be hard is for them to not just let her off the hook.
you're getting ahead of yourself, they're only just now getting the warrant to look at the contents of the e-mails. there's no reason to make assumptions before anything is even known and before any investigation is even reopened. what you're insisting is a fallacious claim that, since some classified e-mails have been found to have been sent through a private e-mail server, that necessarily implies a high probability that any e-mails found to have gone through this server contain classified information. this is an irrational conclusion. the reason they're getting a warrant is because they need to be sure of the contents of the e-mails, not because they assume there's classified information.
