your mother needs psychological help, and to get that help, she's going to have to first realize the destructiveness of her behavior to both herself and the people around her. you said she's bipolar and i'm assuming that's a legitimate diagnosis, because her behavior seems to be about right for a bipolar patient experiencing a manic period. she needs medical attention; the right medication can help her symptoms and even her out and then additional therapy can help address problems that have developed alongside the condition.

that's what I said, but I think if BIG changed it to "Social Justice Warrior/SJW", you wouldn't see a change

(keep in mind that yes "SJW" is used as an insult but so it "alt-right")
there are absolutely people who embrace the title of "social justice warrior," but you aren't going to find any here because most people here seem to identify more with the right (as do most americans)

both are nebulous internet terminology and don't really belong on the poll tbh, though that being said the poll is really weird anyway

You're probably right, but communism is about as far from best for everyone as you can get
both extremes of capitalism and socialism/communism/whichever you're putting against it are terrible for everyone in the long run for one reason or another, the best solution is always a mixed market economy

The south is worse off economically than the north now. The civil war and reconstruction more than wiped away any advantage the south got from slavery. The only difference is they now have millions of uneducated angry blacks to deal with.
the south was always worse off for a complex number of reasons, and reconstruction is one of them. also being from one of the poorest states in the south (alabama) i can tell you that we don't have an uneducated angry blacks problem, we have an uneducated angry everyone problem

Yeah, but I don't see how that is relevant. That would probably only change the amount of african americans and things related to racism.
no, it'd probably also change a lot about the economic landscape at the time; free labor is nothing to sneeze at. that's one of the bigger reasons why slavery was something people wanted so badly, it was loving great if you were running a business that required lots of hard labor, and the output produced by slaves is absolutely historically relevant to any success the early american economy had. it's just a massive humanitarian concern and also terrible in every ethical way, and a brilliant reminder that what's best for businesses is not always best for everyone, which does kinda lend itself to more 'anti-capitalist' ideas.

« on: October 14, 2016, 09:38:54 PM »
it is. it's basing on a forum that's based on the loving game, but only the community. besides, whether or not the point is that it's not based on itself like blockland 2 is moot. i'd rather have a good game than an obnoxious one and the only "good" thing resulting on it is because "it's based on the community of the blockland forums"
the reason blockland 2 is a stupid idea is because it'd be literally the same game and the amount of work required to get it running well would be highly time-consuming to probably zero benefit because nobody is going to leave a sandbox game for an identical sandbox game that has no mod content available

this is just an rpg that happens to have a related subject matter, the comparison isn't very sound
