idk learning torquescript in blockland is good because you have a lot of open-source material to look through as well as probably the best source of torque knowledge around. ts also has the advantage of being instantly executable inside of a game that's already functional, so you can much more easily work on things that are already part of a game, whereas JS would probably have you working in webpages when that's not what your desired goal really is. if you want to make mods for blockland, the best way to learn how is to just start making them.

Your age is 8, I doubt you're paying for television.
my dad doesn't let me watch tv anymore because he caught me watching pokemon

cartoon network isn't free if you're paying for television service you wouldn't have otherwise. also note SU is already renewed through season 5. it's probably not unheard of for a show to have a sudden downturn and be cancelled, but that's clearly not happening here

buying merch is also good, and that probably gives them more money than they would ever make off of your individual ad revenue

comparing it to video game piracy might be a bit unsound because video games are a single unit that you individually buy and a show is just something that's broadcast on a pay-in service that they don't manage. it'd be more the same as watching youtube with adblock on tbh

the scene where greg asks steven why he hates kevin, it sounds just like an sjw trying to explain to someone how they got "raped" the other day
o i figured it was more of like a "kids, remember!! nobody has a right to treat u like poopoo and remember that, uncle carl..."

but ya it was awkward but i guess it's no worse than sonic sez. in the end it turned out to instead be a lesson of not letting that get in the way of their contentment so i think it was just to justify the rivalry

yeah the entire episode is a reference to initial d, a lot of the logistic weirdness of the race itself can probably be attributed to that

5: hey.... Rebecca.... your feminist is showing
what's this referrin to tho? i think i might be able to see it but nothing in particular stands out any more than the rest of the show

it doesn't help ratings unless you're part of the small sample that actually contributes to ratings, which you would probably know about. it does affect how much ad revenue they bring in, but it's hard to know how much of the fanbase consists of teenagers and young adults on the internet.

my routine has always been to watch the episodes when they air, come back, and post whatever is most easily accessible, and nobody has ever had a problem with it except tony

i always watch or record an episode when it airs. not everyone can have that luxury.

i've added the official CN video page to the "helpful links" section of the OP, but not everyone will have access to the service provide login if they do have one, and if they don't, saying "just pay for something every month you're obviously not using for one specific show that spends most of its life in hiatus" is absurd.

tony isn't wrong in principle, it's just not realistic to assume everyone can watch the shows exclusively through cable providers (i'm counting the website under this too because you have to provide a service login). this is a thread of convenience and so the most convenient and readily available sources will be provided. if you have access to the CN website, then it would obviously be better to use it

As far as I understand, a scripting language is used to "influence" a program's execution. That is to say, a programming language is used to build the base program, while the scripting language tells that program what to do at runtime.

Generally scripting languages are easier to write but are more limited in scope and slower because they're a higher level.

My thoughts, anyway.
yeah, that'd be an interpreted language. it's not actually compiled, it just gives instructions to lower-level code. best example i can think of is torquescript, which can technically be "compiled" but i'm pretty sure (citation needed) that doesn't actually make it have a machine code/assembler representation, it just puts it into a weird obfuscated binary format that's harder to read

tho actually a lot of languages can be both compiled and interpreted so even that distinction is sketchy

This week of episodes was kind of disappointing...
i'm pretty sure that next week is going to be: "loving Insane" on at least one front so hold on tight

i think this week was pretty good tho rly. it might have been better if CN hadn't been so loose-lipped with all these early peeks. mr. greg was defo the high point tho. there was lots of plot and character development that might've been more impressive if it weren't put end-to-end, but i get the feelin that things are about to pick up. they're pretty good at putting all the boring stuff in the promos to get you excited and then throwing you a few tasty treats, and we've nearly gotten through every episode that was actually shown in the summer of steven promo
