I guess I'm looking at the 3DS from a consumer point of view rather than a gamer point of view. Many of the really exciting titles for the Wii U came (if I remember correctly) a fair bit after the initial launch. Stuff like Lego City Undercover and other games alike (including Minecraft).

gamers are consumers! they're p much one in the same in this context. and you're right, that's what i was tryin to say, the wii u suffered at launch because of its lack of more exciting titles like mario kart 8, ssb4, wind waker hd, etc. idk if it's recovered by now but it's still been a bit of a commercial failure compared to nintendo's past history

i can claim rape because i don't like someone, that doesn't mean they'll be charged with anything. any reasonable court of law will dismiss cases that have insufficient evidence. the real problem is if you have a jury trial that wrongly reaches a guilty verdict

The newest SimCity, the one that you can't use offline and has a very small map

actually they have an offline mode now. map sizes are still small cus larger maps for some reason worsen performance too much

also better hardware is definitely a worthwhile improvement. you can make software on a 3DS that would be impossible (or much worse) on the older DS hardware. the 3DS has a stranglehold on the mobile gaming market (excluding smartphones), but that's mostly because it has good games.

and uhh rly i guess that's a good point, we're all talkin about hardware when what rly matters is how many Kick Ass. memorable games run on it. which is why the wii u didn't do as well at first, there weren't many exciting titles. nintendo's real power is knowing how to make sure new consoles launch with games people care about, and that's where they dropped the ball with the wii u. looks like they might be smarter this go around since they've already announced one game that's blowing people's minds

got a bunch of playstation move stuff for my birthday one year. a lot of it is still in its original packaging, unused, sitting in a plastic tub. the most i use the camera for is as a webcam occasionally
