this used to be possible with mods, but now the methods you need to do this are locked behind a password, and you can't really release any mod that accomplishes this. the best you can get are gross workarounds. the function was locked because people were being jokers making people think they were badspot or smth and it caused some confusion apparently, so now we don't get to use that function any more. i feel like maybe in hindsight it was a bit of a kneejerk reaction but that's where it's at now

i don't care what kind of people like good games, the way i see it a good game is a good game. undertale isn't a perfect title, but it's certainly innovative enough to warrant the praise that it gets, and it proved that there's a market for the kind of game that it is.

if you're asking for my opinion, i do believe there is still racial inequality in america, not in conscious, unforgiving racism like the civil rights era, more so just in economic and educational disparities that result in a pretty fair inequality of opportunity for certain minority groups. if your quality of education is stuff, and you're raised in relative poverty so your upbringing is stuff and everything around you is stuff, your outlook on life will probably be stuff and you probably won't come out a great person. i don't worry so much about social aspects because at this point they're elusive and probably on their way out anyway, there's not much substance there.
but i'm assuming the whole discussion is about those elusive forms of social inequality, and not about things that are so easily quantifiable. for that i'll just say there are definitely still and will always be tribal people; i'm not convinced they have as much a share in government anymore, but if someone's personal experience involves enough of those pressures, then they will be affected by them and they will be worse off for it, at the very least in terms of their mental health and well-being.

if you don't believe that past generations/centuries of oppression and powerlessness have lasting effects today, you will not find the idea of white privilege compelling in the least, because white privilege is pretty much just a fancy word for the same idea
