windows 10 is great on my laptop and tablet, but whenever i try to run it on my desktop the hardware is never compatible so I'm constantly crashing (regardless of updated drivers and resets and refreshes and reboots et cetera et cetera)
yeah i had this problem too when i upgraded, but a fresh install on a new PC is working perfectly. no complaints so far. i have the pro version tho so i could actually disable the annoying update behavior that a lot of people complain about (forcing you to restart). iirc you can only disable that through a relatively obscure msc panel on the pro version which is kinda stupid. might not be the case anymore but luckily i don't have to deal with it

you can't anticipate what will offend people, but you can normally anticipate that people probably aren't going to respond well to something that's considered a racial/ethnic slur

Tell me more on how the economy would be weaker?

I doubt other countries would miss out on the U.Ks high GDP.
the main thing i think is that there are a lot of unknowns. people don't know for sure how all this is going to turn out because it's unprecedented, and so the UK is, for the time being, a much higher-risk investment. if you don't have investment, your currency's value on the foreign exchange market is going to go down. people are going to wait and see if it's going to turn out well

i mean dude if you're so fragile that any word will force an emotion into you then what's going on?
i think in reality he probably means more than just words. there are a lot of other subtle ways that people could make you feel like you're different. also keep in mind he's also talking about a situation where someone would be experiencing that consistently throughout their life, not just singular occurrences. you can brush off the odd starfish or two, but it makes sense that if someone is told something enough, or if they get a certain impression enough times, they're probably going to start to believe it

i don't think anyone is saying that nothing has changed since the 60s, but i do think there are some unconscious preconceptions people have that do affect how others are treated. and obviously that isn't just a problem for black people, but they aren't excused from it just because they've had a civil rights movement

nothing wrong with more games

fnaf is a kinda niche game and there's clearly an audience for it. at least this entry is better-timed than the other ones which basically came out in succession

??? I don't understand where you got the assumption that I was referring to the internet.

Obviously you can't make a call to violence without consequences but most anything else is fair game.

The reason the bill of rights was created in the first place was to clearly outline the natural rights of all citizens. The founding fathers weren't stupid; they knew people would challenge these rights eventually and that speech and communication would evolve in ways they couldn't begin to fathom. They wrote it down in such a way that it COULD NOT be challenged unreasonably. There are exceptions to it but generally you CAN say whatever you want provided you are not creating imminent danger or making a credible threat of violence.
yeah i think he was mostly talking about the people who whine and say their freedoms are being oppressed when people disagree with them or call them out for being an starfish

as in, just because you have the right to say what you want doesn't mean you're protected from consequences socially or otherwise, and when those consequences come, you can't blame other people, because those consequences are a result of your own actions.

i think ben 10 is a bit generous

at this point we're probably ben 6 at the most

essentially the desire for a world government or larger governments spanning several countries
that's really only one potential manifestation of globalization

i'm not too well-versed on the specifics of it all, but globalization economically and culturally is probably a very good thing for us. the internet has made the world a much better place because of how it helps globalize culture and information, and more free trade across the world is economically a fantastic thing. the kind of globalization you're talking about obviously would have problems since a government that large would have a lot of trouble with more local interests

yeah i've also yet to run into any problems with my 1070

have you tried contacting nvidia support or anything? they might be able to help you more
