Sam11 applied for admin on Glass's server a couple days ago, accepted, and was deadmined/banned by Wound some time today. So, he starts spamming the topic, including posting more than 5 times in a row. Now, even as I don't like Glass's server, I don't like it when people spam topics. For example, here is a lists of quotes from him.

(Trying to get us to randomly flame him)
(Trying to get us to spam for the "10th page in a day")
Even if this is "Feeding", I still think we need to get him banned.
Please ban him, Badspot.

Games / Minecraft "The Walls" PVP Event -- 0 Spaces left! will message IP to teams!

I will be hosting a server for players to play this PVP/Survival game, The Walls. Now, the official rules are a little different than these, but I think you'll still get the experience of The Walls. First off, instead of one person winning, a whole team of two can win. Second, you will need Mumble, Skype or other VOIP programs to communicate with your fellow teammates. Each team will have two players, both of which will be communicating nonstop and will help eachother set up traps and craft defenses. Each team may bring two people to spectate if they please. The server IP will not be given out but it will be filmed by any of the willing parties. Please figure out who your partner is before you register, please.

Of course, there are Rules:
- Wait for host to give you a "cell" before the game starts. This is your starting position.
- Once the cell pushes you up, you can free to go and prepare yourself before the walls goes down.
- DO NOT break any sand blocks.
- DO NOT leave your zone delimited by bedrocks.
- DO NOT build over the sand walls height.
- You can create alliances, however only one team can win. Treasons are encouraged.
- Use your skills, intelligence and creativity to kill other teams.
- All teams must be communicating nonstop, all the time.
- Leave the server without reason, you forfeit.
- And of course, if you use Xray/Tracer/cracked clients, you will be kicked and your team will lose.

Suggestions & Requests / Blacklist IP from Joining

I ran into a problem with banning someone like Zealot, Robo Noob or Glass. It's that once you ban them, they just get on a different alt key. Now, instead of tracing logs and banning IPs that match up, why not just blacklist the IP from the server? Or even just show an alert when a player who just joined's IP matches that of a banned user? I think it wouldn't take that long. I'm not a Torquescript coder though, so bear with me.

General Discussion / Note to all people who think they were "Hacked" on Blockland (WALL OF TEXT)

So lately I've been seeing a bunch of posts about how Fungus attacked or hacked your server. I'm not saying he didn't, but I'd like to say that if he somehow got onto your computer via a RAT or other virus and did some uber leet console commands and made a face appear on your screen, then he hacked your computer, not Blockland. Blockland is unhackable, but easily exploitable. Think of hacking as freezing all the players of a football game and walking past them through some black magic, and think of exploiting as picking up the ball and walking around the field to the touchdown.
Blockland has an add-on system that allows for anyone to use any add-on, and make them through a couple programs. This is fine and good, until someone makes a bad or exploitable add-on. Eval, for instance, is a mod that allows SAs and other trusted people to access the server's console easily. But, it can be easily edited to let anyone access the server's console; this does not end well. One instance were an add-on was abused was Cciamlazy adding a line of code into a CityRP mod he gave Nobot to give him SA powers. This allowed him to always be SA on Nobot's servers. Cciamlazy's key and all of his alt keys were revoked and he was banned from the forums.
Introduced in v9, events became a base part of Blockland almost overnight. Suddenly, you didn't have to code a brick and release it to be able to say, make it flash when someone stepped on it. But with any sandbox game feature, it can be abused. One instance of this was Fungusamongus using Zone Bricks (a brick/event add-on) to make faces appear on people's screens. They way he did this was by displaying a bitmap image from a default directory (EI, addons/face_default/asciiterror.png) when a player enter a zone and changing his datablock to a Rowboat. Another example of exploiting a default feature.
So please, don't make the millionth topic about how whoever hacked your Blockland server. They exploited it.
