General Discussion / Re: Should you release your private addons??
« on: May 12, 2021, 05:52:35 AM »
Hoarding good tech is lame and goofy but Blocklanders are also extremely loving obnoxious and will break your add-on and then come scream at you like you killed their dog and forgeted their wife, which makes me not want to put out unfinished stuff. Also, first impressions matter(ed) a lot, in my experience if someone has a bad experience with your mod they'll just ditch it and are unlikely to ever come back to it even if you fix it

Help / Re: Screen problem

Also try putting dekstop scaling at 100% instead of 125% or 150%, that causes some weird issues occasionally (right click desktop -> monitor settings).

How about La Rotura, for the eponymous 'Breaking' (= rotura) Bad epilogue?

https://blocklandglass.com/addons/addon.php?id=1426 approved and live. Not as fancy as the other unfinished one posted here, but works as advertised.

i'm convinced the "non-lurker"/"non-surface level" internet of loosely-linked forums and image boards is pretty small

like i've seen so much overlap with random communities online, but i think its just cus not many people go online for anything more than upvoting tiktoks or watching youtube videos
This is the same reason a globally known and giant forum/board site like 4chan is still readable and not getting multiple threads made per second.

BLF will never die, it's the Betty White of forums
The only reason the forums are this dead is that everyone moved to Discord

Are front license plates a thing in the US? Here in the Netherlands they make any decent car look like dog stuff.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Support_GaugeClusters concept
« on: March 10, 2021, 05:16:44 AM »
I'm the guy that made the Amarok. The speed dials will either use threads, of which you only have 4. So you can only animate 4 things total, including stuff like the steering wheel. The gauges in the Amarok use objects which I then hide/unhide based on the vehicle's speed (my planes do that as well), but you will soon run in to the object limit. This object limit isn't a hard limit, but will start throwing wheeledVehicleExepctions in multiplayer and crash the server since it can't fit all of the object data in a packet to send to clients. What you COULD do is mount a bot to a vehicle and have the bot display the gauges, which will circumvent this object limit. Please refer to bot todesengel Conan for help with this.
