Upgrade router/modem.

If you're on cable you need a DOCSIS 3 modem (with 8 channel bonding if you're on Comcast), and a router that can support 100mbps.

We're using D-link DIR-825, that thing should be able to take 500mb/s.

I can run it easily on my good gaming desktop.  It's no benchmark setting game really.

Except java has some quirk in memory leaks and starts sucking up 100% of my 8gb after an hour or 4.

With a couple of hours spent in Equivalent Exchange, you can easily make a machine which produces a diamond every 10 seconds or so.

Still requires huge investment of diamonds to create dark matter though.
1 dark matter needs a diamond block and 8 aeternist fuel which requires a bazillion coal each.
Let alone red matter or armor of any of he 2. (dark matter armor for a dual survival server, so both of the players, requires 432 diamonds)

Also I find these mods to add to the game rather then change it. You still have to find your first diamonds before you can do anything atall really.

Me and a friend are playing dual tekkit survival and I have to say this is pretty much the most fun thing ever.
I recommend anyone that's bored to invite a friend over for a tekkit server instead of moaning for existing ones.
