AoT General / Tips for the Log Challenge

People keep asking for tips and I'm tired of re-typing, so here ya go:
Do not attempt the Log Challenge until you have successfully completed the Tree House Challenge

1. On the lower portions of the log pile, avoid disconnecting the hook while in mid-swing. Disconnect only after you are safely standing on a log.
2. If you must disconnect and re-hook in mid swing, do so at the peak of a swing not in the middle. The velocity of your player affects the velocity of the hook projectile, so throwing the hook in the middle of a swing (when you are traveling the fastest) is quite unpredictable.
3. The hook will disconnect after 15 seconds. So if your swing isn't going the way you planned, return to a safe area before you fall - even if that means dropping down a few logs.

Its not really ready yet, but I'm releasing it because I accidentally overwrote the v13 code on the server.
Theres a new inventory gui and it's slightly broken, but it is more organized... kinda.
-added black boxes around playernames so you can see them
-fixed tall people not being able to walk into the shop without jumping
-fixed floaty sword when you walk near a wall
-stopped items from bouncing up and down forever on the surface of the water
probably broke some stuff.

Version 10 is out (I screwed up the version 9 patch so we're at 10 now...)
The main feature is the crime system. Visit the police station for details (its just outside of town)
Other notable features:
-V-menu ala tribes
-Compass
-NPC chat system
-Writeable parchment
-Throwing knife auto-pickup
-Torque master server no longer used - Yay!
Also, I changed the way the characters are saved so I had to erase them all. Eat me.

General Discussion / New Host, New Forums

So this is the new forum on my new dedicated server. There shouldn't be any more problems with the database dissappearing or with the page just telling you "the document contains no data"
I've restored a backup that I created on July 14th anything created after that is probably gone forever. Sorry. Brinkster sucks.
New account registration and notifications probably wont work until I figure out this mail server junk.
