Why are there 400 different replies being reported from this thread?  Why are there 30 pages of this stuff?  OP, how many times have you been banned yet you're calling someone out for what I assume is some inconsequential bullstuff?  You expect me to read all this garbage and tease out which one of you forgeters is worse than the others?  Everyone log off right now and loving kill yourselves.

I've seen this happen to 3 video cards over the years.  It's basically just RAM failure.  It gets worse over time and eventually you'll see artifacts even in the bios screen, indicating that it's clearly not a software issue.

Problem users travel in packs.  They share keys, they share vpns, they make accounts and start stuff at the same time.  I check my email last night and I've got a dozen messages about ravencroft, betelgeuse, and "eon".  I ID ravencroft and betel and ban them for literally the 30th+ time each.  I don't even remember who eon is, but I check this supposed eon alt and they're using a vpn (ie they're a repeat offender).  I don't want to go to bed with 1/3 of a potential Self Delete squad still active, so I'll just ban them and check on it later when they either email me or more evidence surfaces.

But now they've got another account because they can't go 4 hours without posting. 
The new account is a steam purchase from this steam account (archive)
This throwaway steam account has one friend (archive)
That friend's account is attached to revoked BLID 44597, username Eon

The ride never ends.
I'm sure next time every steam account will be private.

No, I think AI will have a major impact on society before streaming video loss-leaders empty the coffers of every megacorp that decides to run one.  Everyone talks about AI as if everything is fine right up until we reach human levels of intelligence (2050 at the latest) then it's over.  When we reach human levels of intelligence, that's the end of the end - the day the last human brain is put on a shelf in a museum.  Problems start happening way before that.

As am internet user, I am far more concerned about AI moderation effecting the content I consume than I am about bandwidth throttling.

Every single video streaming service loses money already.  Adding in required ISP bribes will make them lose even more money.  Expect to see vertical integration, with content being produced, marketed and distributed by the same entity with brand specific deals for the last mile - ie "stream netflix free! with your $100/mo verizon ultimate plan".  Big players like disney, google, amazon, etc may look to acquire or merge with ISPs.  Whoever has the most money and is willing to lose it for the longest period of time will be the last one standing and "win".  

The AI bomb goes off before any of this becomes relevant though.

Is communism fascist and therefore right wing because it's authoritarian?

Is racial testing for employment fascist?  Is the BBC right wing when they do it?  What about when the DNC does it?  What about when the national socialist german workers party did it?

When the government mandates what individuals must spend their money on, is that authoritarian or libertarian?  What about when it's health insurance?

Is everything that NBC or CNN reports a lie because they've been caught fabricating stories in the past?  Is that enough to disprove any fact, just attacking the source? 

Is mandating that you care for your own children authoritarian?  What about when they haven't been born yet?
