Your IP is now recorded when you are jailed.  You will not be allowed to login to another character or create a new character until the jail time has been served.  To avoid problems with multiple user households or crap characters where people dont remember the password, the jail IP record is erased after 30 minutes (this may be increased).

So when you are jailed you must either:

A. Serve the jail time.
B. Get a new IP
C. Wait 30 minutes.

The fact is that you would never be able to tell if TBM still had exploits until someone that MCP really didn't like started hosting a server and he attacked them. 

I gave them a huge opportunity to change their ways.  I spent hours talking to them on that irc channel to try and resolve things amicably - they refused. 

There is no motivation for them to remove the exploits.  They have shown no change of heart.  I believe TBM to be just as dangerous now as it was when I posted the original warning.

Not directly, but theres a program called joytokey that can convert joystick input to keyboard/mouse input.  http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key/JoyToKey%20English%20Version.htm

You'll get owned by keyboard/mouse players though.

Um.. except that you would lose your cop status after you went over 150 demerits, so it would be pretty hard to catch a criminal.  And even if you did catch the criminal, you would still have 985 demerits, and they would go right back up to 1000 in about 30 seconds.  I just don't see how this glitch could work.

If you're running win98, your processor might just be too slow or you might not have enough ram. 

What's your processor speed and how much ram do you have?

Tip: record at $timescale = 0.5; at 15 fps, then use video editing software to change the framerate to 30.  Makes for super smooth video.  Thats how I got my shooter video to be so smooth.

I know that glitch. It's some stupid thing that you eventually lose your "wrongdoing codes" like (all caps) and (Public nuditiy) for some reason. It's pretty easy to exploit if your a cop.

What are you talking about?  Explain.
