Let's not forget that GLaDOS is very good at wasting resources. A good example is the emancipation proclamation grill.

is everyone missing the fact that the people would suffocate in the cubes? assuming there were people inside them, they wouldn't be able to scream for help unless they were very recently put inside the cube.

there could be a miniature portal on the inside supplying them with air.

also, the video forgot to talk about the empty cans of beans. Those "beans" were probably made from companion cube ashes.
