For the camera maybe you could attach a portable light somewhere near it
And maybe attach a sound recorder, so when you see them coming, you can activate it and it'll make this loud sound that'll scare them away

Hold the left and the right mouse button then move your mouse down then release, it should bring up the menu
In there you can change all the preferences and quick-launch apps
