Create a chest and put all your items in there.
Then get out of the house and scavange all night gathering wool from sheep, meat from pigs, leather from cows, mushrooms, reeds, catuses & flowers, depositing your items often and trying to avoid all mobs, if a spider follows you get in your house and punch him as he's a 2x2 entity? and can't get in your doorway.

I liked the cannon more, their height and the chassis.
