Don't flame me please. I've been playing Blockland for many years, I just haven't had much time lately. My RTB isn't working and there are a bunch of topics on RTB and RTB issues. I'm just wondering what happened.

Gallery / One Shell Square, New Orleans, LA

Well I was marching in a Mardi Gras parade back in February, and I saw One Shell Square as we marched by it. I thought it would look pretty cool in BL. Apparently, my family has some history here. My grandfather worked here for an extremely long time. And since it's been an entire year since I've made a significant build, I figured I'd contribute to the Blockland world again.

And before you say it looks like the World Trade Center or give it a 9/11, just know that almost all office buildings built around the time period this one was all looked like the WTC. So yeah.

Rate x/10.

To give you a sense of the 1/1 scale I made this in, the little red dot in the picture is covering more than all of my avatar. One Shell Square is the tallest building in New Orleans.

So I got the basic framework of that house that I made a post about earlier done, and ended up with this:

Thing I'm making:

What can I do to make it proportional?

Sorry for the title. I'd like to know the brickpack that includes the bricks that are the height of two 1x1 flats on top of each other. Sorry if that's hard to understand hahaha

General Discussion / What would be a good way of building this structure?
« on: January 31, 2014, 11:19:18 PM »
Hey guys, I haven't been on here in ages but I've been a longtime member of the community and try my best to contribute (http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=236614.0)

So I'd appreciate any type of tips today on how to construct this house's layout in Blockland, because it isn't a perfect rectangle and I think it could cause problems.

Any help would really be appreciated. This build is one I've been wanting to do for almost 2 years, but I never worked up the courage to do it, because it's something really close to me. So thanks!

Off Topic / This is the band I'm in

Woohoo, two posts in one day

... anyhoo, I play tenors (the four drums that this video mainly focuses on) for this band. We're a show band near by New Orleans, so we do all the major Mardi Gras parades. Soo check us out, I think you'll like it. P.s., if you read my topic on needing a cheaper alternative to GoPro, it was because I wanted to record stuff like this.

BONUS: This is one of the entire band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTk4RUn48vc (fast forward to 1:00 for show band loveiness)

I'm in a marching band that's primarily a show band, so we do all the big Mardi Gras parades (Endymion, Baachus, you name it) and I just had a pretty cool idea: use a GoPro to video the entire parade experience so I can look back on it. Buuuuuut, GoPros are around $399(?) so I was wondering if anyone knows any kind of durable camera that can record in low light half-decently that won't break the bank. Kind of a weird request but I don't know at all where to ask this question. So discuss, my fellow community members.

Mine had no connection whatsoever. And my internet is fine

I was on a recent nostalgia trip and came across my old copy of KotOR. Anyone here play/played it?

I've never used it, never want to, and I know that people always make fun of it for being old and outdated. Is it coming back? I'm seeing a bunch of ads for it. And it looks like they're targeting douches btw :P

Help / How do I turn a .gif that I saved to my photos into an avatar?
« on: July 09, 2013, 12:34:56 AM »
Y'all may be able to see that my avatar is of Ringo Starr by a microhpone. However, it's a .gif that doesn't move when I upload it (it moves when I open it in my picture folder). Any help on how to make it so that it will move?

Gallery / Phoenix West II Resort
« on: July 08, 2013, 11:06:47 PM »

Hi again y'all! I'm Softscrub (22890) and I'm back with another resort build. This is a new complex in Orange Beach, Alabama and it's almost near the end of its construction. It's called the Phoenix West II. I wanted to make a build that I could recognize as my premium build, and since I love building resorts I chose this amazing place. I've driven by it twice, and both times I said, "This place would look sick in BL!" So now, it's here! I'll give details about the pictures with captions.

Here is what it looks like in real life (please realize that it's still under construction in real life, but I used the latest pictures, but some of these are a bit older than others.)

Here's the irl concept art:

Aaaaaaand here's my build in BL.

^ This is the elevator system, there's two of these towers, one on each side.

Rooms

^ Top view/floorplan for each room.

^ Living room.

^ Kitchen.

^ Master bathroom.

General Discussion / What's the most useful brick in the game to you?
« on: July 08, 2013, 09:25:52 PM »
I'm in the last phases of finishing up my huge resort build, and I've used plenty of helpful bricks for odd situations, add on bricks and non add on bricks alike. So I've come up with a question to waste more of y'all's time: what's the most useful brick in the game to you, add on or not?
