I had the best BL experience for a long time tonight on your server. Congrats Gravy.

That would mean: "Engine limits" so no one can do anything about it.
Well stuff.

Yes, but with less pointless water and lame islands and more terrain and maybe a couple small towns/small buildings.

You can always use a raycast for an instant hit of course. If you want to simulate the bullet taking longer just stick a tiny delay in between firing the gun and firing the raycast. Of course this means you don't get projectiles, you'll have to just have no bullets or use a different method to show a bullet.

200 speed bullets go pretty fast.
They go at an okay speed for sniping when someone is standing still or moving at a set speed, but if someone's dodging it's more a case of "spray & pray" rather than aiming because by the time the bullet reaches where they were, they'll be somewhere else. With faster bullets it would be more a question of skill rather than luck.

Many blocklanders who play in DMs think that hitscan weapons are "cheap", and they can be. But, when it comes down to it, hitscan is often a preferable alternative to the ridiculously slow bullets that are the maximum speed for projectiles. I suggest that, to hit that perfect "fast, but not instant" shot, the projectile speed limit be raised.

Please reply if you care about this and keep this topic alive. And yes, I know this was suggested before but that topic was dead so I decided to start a new one.

You know what would be awesome?

Some huge vehicle warfare map like Caspian Border with like three T-90s per team, several assault helicopters, and a stuffload of jeeps, but also urban areas or nonvehicle accessible areas.

EDIT:

Posted a new "Raise projectile speed" topic. Please support!

With hitscan it's the same thing ...just worse.
People can just spam with any assault rifle at you and they will always hit you.
Still, with slow projectiles it's impossible to hit someone who's dodging WITHOUT doing that. With hitscan you can and have to aim more.

Hey by the way, I've noticed a problem:
The gun bullets go way too slow. And yes, I know you can't up the projectile speed any more without making it hitscan, but when I'm really close to someone I still have to compensate a lot if they're moving (i.e. a full body's width to the left/right). Maybe it's time to bring back hitscan... I know it was easier to die then but it was fun that way. With slow bullets, it's more about spraying in someone's general direction to hit them no matter how they move rather than taking precise aim.

So, you're hosting Yellow Fields but without the T-90.

Kk.

I doubt it. The Yellowfields TDM worked well because the default tank isn't too powerful. The T-90 is alot stronger and has more firepower.

Well... ummm... you could always have it go slower. And make its health roughly equivalent to two or three RPG shots.

OR...

Have a more urban, closequarters space, if not the entire map, where the tank is more less useful and ambushes are easy to set for the drivers.

Can you host the Yellow Fields or another huge wilderness map again? I loved that fight at first, and with the T-90 it should be even better.
