So I tried to position a plate so I could get a little stream of rainwater going down into the spider, but it loving moved out of the way. Just seeing it move was enough to drive me back inside. It's somewhere on the wall outside my back door now. I'm just gonna stay inside and cry until it leaves.

Since Minnesota is doing its weekly drainage of California, I'm thinking of diverting the rainwater into the spider directly. Any ideas of how I would do this?
