Hey,
The talk animation has stopped working when I type a message. I tried looking through options to see if I accidentally disabled it but can't find anything. Is there a way to fix this?

ITD standing for "Isar Tower Database" is a massive server / storage database that can hold over 1,000 documents and images. Each file has its own unique code, that when entered into the computer is loaded. Images are displayed on the 72 pixel screen, and text is copied as a variable and displayed when a button is pressed.

It was built by Isar Tower developer IcyGamma (ID 4127) inside an eventing lab at Isar Tower and is housed on level 3.
Developed with default events and variables.

A demo of the 'Clan Plan' app. In this video I show the attendance counter, that allows you to enter up to 20 clan members and toggle their attendance, letting you review data on who shows up to your servers and who doesn't. Generates status users attendance relative to how many servers you specify you hosted.

Hey,
As you well know, I'm that kind of forum member that tests and makes a lot of crap, almost all of it unrelated to programming in Torque hue hue.
A while back, in 2008, I tried Blok which was a magazine for Blockland. Needless to say it sort of turned into poop. I've also been running Blockland On Air for a while, but I think the content quality has deteriorated quickly and I'm not so sure its heading down a path worthy of my time.

I've really been into setting up some form of regular media over the last few years, and while I know a few blogs have popped up I'm interested in seeing if there is a demand for a quality, well written, journalistic news source for Blockland. This isn't just crappy paragraphs written by kids who are bad at grammar, I'm talking about some really quality articles. Currently I'm only working on Isar Tower and AfterBlock, but my general rule of thumb is 3 projects and no more. But I think that, with my progression of journalistic writing (I've actually been working with journalists recently and learning forget loads) and the hacks and tricks I've picked up regarding blogger over the years, I could provide a very high quality blog based news source-- I've also lead a lot of projects now, so I know how to handle Blocklanders. But I'm not going to waste my time if nobody wants it.

So please vote, and discuss. And just so you know, like every project I've ever done, if it isn't getting enough traffic or isn't progressing at the pace I want, I'm not going to continue it. So I need to find some genuine demand here.

The Event
To celebrate the opening of Isar Towers "Black Pearl Restaurant", a private function will be held in which eight VIP Blocklander guests will be invited to dine at the restaurant in a passworded server. The eight Blocklanders will:

• Be seated in the luxurious Black Pearl Restaurant up on level 11 of the Isar Tower
• Be waited on by two trained Blocklanders who will RP fine service for the evening
• Be cooked evented food by Chef IcyGamma-- a menu will be prepared of fine foods to chose from, each plate individually built and evented to order
• Be given an optional tour of the Isar Tower, its generators, and its secret facilities, with the option of a blackout demonstration
• The evening will end with a photo of everyone together, which will become a print and will be placed in the lobby of the Isar Tower, historically marking the event

The Invitations
7 well-known Blocklanders will be invited to the event, with one extra space for anyone here who wants it. People may post in this topic, and then I will randomly generate a name out of those submitted-- the person who's name is chosen will be invited to the function. To be able to join the server you must be able to comply with the following:

• You will act rationally, this is a private event with many well-known Blockland guests, trolling, disruption of the server, and poor behavior will have you removed from the server
• One must remember RP elements are given to the Isar Tower, this will be like a real restaurant environment
• There will be some big names there, but if you are one of those people that takes it too far and turns into a screaming fan you are not welcome-- have some restraint
• You must be able to show up to the server at the right time and date, if you do not show up, thats too bad

New Zealand (Auckland) - Sunday, 28th November, 2:00PM
America (New York - Saturday, 27th November, 8:00PM

You may wish to convert this time using an online tool. All guests will be IRC'd before the server goes live.

Help / Events and Bricknames Not Saving

I'm working on Isar Tower. Its 16k bricks with lots of events. Recently, I've been trying to add rounds on the end of pole bricks. But if I do, those bricks won't keep their brickname or events. They just clear, either immediately, or after a short amount of time.

No idea whats going on. Is it a bug? I'm using the latest Blockland on a Macintosh, in Leopard.

A 7.6 magnitude earthquake rocks Blockland at 1:20AM. Striking at just 8 miles deep, this quake damaged many buildings including the Isar Tower. Watch the security camera footage!

Drama / Don't Trust IcyGamma On IRC

Hello,
I often use RTBs IRC to invite people to help me with things or discuss my servers and whatnot, however recently I've found people using my name in IRC. As usual, I get the same BS story "oh I was testing out changing names". This happened once before and someone claimed they "were testing it and about to log off". Same old crap.

Basically, if you want to talk to me on IRC, you do it at your own risk. I recommend sending me a PM for a password or something if you wish to chat about important or private things.


Anyone else ever had their username taken on RTB by some whore?

Gallery / Isar Tower: More Than Just A Build

About
Builds always feel so meaningless. You make 'em and you dump 'em in your saves. So I am building a tower, which will become my "headquarters". I intend to make this build, and sustain it for months if not years. I will host shows and events inside it, build contraptions inside it in my lab, hang out in it, and do all sorts. Over time, it will change, and grow, and be upgraded. But the aim is that, in a few years, it will have an entire history and will be more than just a build.

It is designed, evented, and built by IcyGamma ID 4127. It is ever changing and developing.

Construction
Isar Tower is build over water. It is made with a curving design to feel natural and elegant. It has 11 floors of 48x48 space. Outside, large plates of glass extend diagonally, for a funky look while keeping flying vehicles at distance and reducing wind impact to the windows. :3
Inside are rooms built cleanly, with modern touches to keep people comfortable. A tasteful color design has been used throughout. Events are a heavy priority here.

Get A Room
No more rooms will be built at this time. All rooms have been taken up. Isar Tower is not a hotel, nor an apartment complex. Custom rooms are just a part of it. Two floors have already been dedicated to custom rooms, I don't plan to add more.
People who want a room must say so in this topic. However, since we already have a waiting list, its unlikely you'll get a space now if you haven't asked already. Any unfurnished rooms that are not furnished within the month will be passed on.

Events
Isar Tower use top of the line events and design.
Isar Tower used to use a "Horse Projectile Box" which is a large generator (seen below). It creates and explodes horse rays, which generate "blotts". These blotts are then used by everything electronic. For example, a lamp will use 3 blotts every 5100 milliseconds on relay. If the blotts run out, there is a blackout. The generator is capable of producing 1100 blotts per minute, 66000 blotts an hour (in other words, smashs 66000 horse ray projectiles an hour). This is all constructed using the Variable Events mod.



Now the tower uses a new generator. One that crushes pinballs. See this for yourself at the tower!

There are many other event features too. Apart from all the electronics being wired to the power grid, there are also nice touches like window frosters that give you privacy in rooms. There are many more events to be added.

Hosting Status




Is this the real Isar Tower? How to check its not a stolen or fake version.

As of January 10th 2011, GammerMunchy aka LcyGamma was the first to host a stolen edition of Isar Tower.

5 ways to know the Isar Tower is actually the Isar Tower:

• Isar will be fully constructed, fake versions will be likely to have missing bricks
• Services like the showroom always operate, if add-ons from there are not on display you are at a fake edition
• Isar will always be hosted under I in the player list, if its in the L section its fake. You can organize names in the query using the name button at the top.
• Isar is always hosted by IcyGamma, BLID 4127. Any other BLID is fake, I do not own any other keys.i
• People wearing pink capes, or IcyGamma clone based costumes are imposters.
• If Isar will not be logged for that day, and the server status in the topic isn't lit up, its fake. Always check that for full authenticity.
• IcyGamma rarely makes bans. You may be kicked, but usually jailed using a mod. If you find yourself banned easily, especially for unusual reasons such as getting into an argument, it is a fake server.
• If services like the power generator are down, it is a fake server.

Thanks.
Do not worry about bans on fakes servers, they do not effect the actual Isar. Since Isar is constantly changing, people will be unable to keep up with the actual building.

Also, Isar Tower now uses custom brick textures. If the Isar you are on does not have them, it is a fake. If it does, still ensure the above is checked over for total security.

Do you charge forwards or move to the side?
I tried to make the topic title sound as interesting as possible. :3

When walking, do you move to the side to let people past or are you the kind of person that will just keep walking and expect them to move (sometimes bumping into another person)?
Personally I move around a lot. In fact, I often think ahead a few metres just so I know where to move around.
