Lego man is going to stay in police custody for three months.

Lego man, a 45-kilogram, 2.4-metre-tall sculpture, didn't do anything wrong except wash up on a Florida beach.

Sarasota County Sheriff Tom Knight says his office will hold the fiberglass sculpture for 90 days just like all other lost and found property.

"No real than you are" wut. LOOK GUISE ITS A CRACK IN TEH MATRIX ITS A SIGN RUNNNN. Seriously though, what lulz.

Help / Russian Cyrillic
« on: October 28, 2011, 05:40:09 AM »
Is there a way to view Russian Cyrillic in Blockland?

For other games all I had to do was change a few settings in Windows and change my computers locale so it handled 'non-Unicode' and now it appears correctly. But Blockland still outputs random symbols.

Does Blockland support it at all?

General Discussion / Building Request, Credit Given
« on: October 24, 2011, 06:04:52 PM »
Hai,

I need a set for a scene of a film. The interior of a post office. I was building one the other day but forgot to save and crashed. So I'm taking the lazy route and seeking any builds people have made of post offices in the past. Credit will be given.

Thanks :u

Help / Key Keeps Erasing
« on: October 16, 2011, 06:47:38 PM »
So many topics to read about v20 issues I haven't been able to look through them so if its been posted, sorry.

In the last hour my Blockland installation has basically disregarded my key twice. I quit, then go to relaunch and OOPs its demo mode again. Its doing it sporadically, really grating on me now.

Off Topic / Worst Ban Ever
« on: October 14, 2011, 04:24:42 AM »
I was at this forum which was one of those bogus off-topic forums you find everywhere. You know the kind, a generic discussion board.

There was this topic that basically said "Read the newsletter or Bertha will eat his hat". I posted in it demanding Bertha to eat the hat (it was an old topic). Someone else came and we laughed about the topic, which was pretty humorous, and even posted and image of someone eating a hat. Turns out Bertha didn't like this-- she was really rude about it and took it personally even though nobody who was posting really knew who this member was, and all we did was post a joke about hat eating (how does somebody get angry at that lol).

Next minute I know the topic is locked and the moderator tells me that I'm "bullying and antagonizing". I send a PM to them asking what exactly was the issue, and point out nothing was offensive and it was all light hearted humor. He threatens me in PM, saying that "he is a cop and he won't listen to thugs like me".

This seemed odd, so I asked another member of staff why this was being taken so severely when nothing happened. I cited the topic, pointed out the issues I had with what happened, and asked if there was a way to resolve this so there could be a positive outcome for everyone involved as the topic ended uncomfortably. I specifically mentioned I found it strange as to what such harsh action was taken and if the topic could ever be unlocked as it seemed a shame to have it closed over nothing (this is quite a small community FYI, and this topic was particularly old and well discussed). I also mentioned it was odd how very harmless humor about someone eating a hat was considered offensive (noting we didn't start the topic, just continued posting in it).

I visit and I find myself permanently later banned for "not listening to a moderator".

Am I going mad or do you think any of this was justified? I just don't get what happened, I'm still like lolwut. All I did was joke with someone about a guy eating his hat, then try to find out why there was such strict staff action over nothing and what was going on. In hindsight, if the staff were that touchy over nothing perhaps expecting to resolve it over PM was a dangerous idea.

Luckily the website wasn't that great, it was really inactive and I found myself having trouble to start meaningful discussion. Still, disappointed at what happened.

Let me stress that these people are adults (apparently). I just want to know if anyone else has ever had a strange situation like this before .

Quote
Arizona authorities say they have arrested a man who robbed a Yuma bank then went and spent some of the stolen money on beer and pizza at a nearby restaurant.

Yuma police say 56-year-old Henry Elmer has been booked into county jail on a variety of robbery and theft-related charges.

Officers responded to a robbery call at the main branch of the Wells Fargo Bank across from the Yuma Police Station around 1.30pm Saturday (9.30am Sunday, NZ time).

A man reportedly entered the bank, produced a box-cutter knife and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say Elmer then went to a nearby restaurant, ordered beer and a couple of slices of pizza and paid with some of the bank's money.

Police say they located Elmer before the meal was served. It's unclear whether he has a lawyer, yet.

Drama / Update Whores
« on: October 10, 2011, 04:20:06 AM »
> v19 released
> Spend entire version talking about how you can't wait for v20 over, and over, and over
> v20 released, arguably the most conservative update ever
> ... can't wait for v21

Just because its the next number in the update hierarchy doesn't make automatically great. So many players seem to spend all their time obsessing over the next version, then when that comes, they don't even care about it and start talking about the potential following update. Why do you care about it when you never take the time to enjoy it when it comes anyway?

Been bugging me for a while. Just throwing that out there.

Off Topic / Toddler found chewing used condom at McDonald's

The father was eating lunch at the restaurant on Saturday when his infant daughter came out of the playground with a used condom in her mouth.

"I was absolutely disgusted. Other people grabbed their kids and just about jumped the fence," the father told The West Australian newspaper.

The man said he washed the girl's hands and mouth with soap and would continue to monitor her health.

"The original v9 eventers."

About this topic
This is the official MicroBlock topic for ROMs and hardware for the Icecube A2 Blockland evented computer. Its where MicroBlock and anyone else (including you) is free to submit your evented programs and games for the computer, or any physical extensions you have created. You can download them and load them for use with the Icecube A2 Blockland computer. This topic was created to seperate it from the Icecube topic to prevent any information overload in the OP.

Click here to download the Icecube A2 BLPC and see more.

Click here to see a demo of the computer, and a demo of the HD 1 projector and the Scanner 1.0.

Submit ROM / Hardware
Anyone can program a ROM (a brick which is slotted into the computer and runs custom events) and use it or share it. PM Sheath and your events will be reviewed. If they follow the standards it will be added here-- we'll take care of all the rest. A great way to share your mini-events. We love seeing people contribute this way.

If you do not wish to convert your build to suit all computer IDs, we can do this for you on request.

Note:  We do not condone the use of 3rd party events beyond systems such as VCE, Amades Bots, or Zones. We may not accept ROMs made with non-default and / or non-approved event systems. Feel free to query this further with Sheath.

To learn how to make ROMs for the Icecube, and to see the standards, click here to download the developer guide PDF.

Please note that, you will need moderate knowledge of how to use VCE and have a good mind for problem solving as you will traditionally only have two bricks to event on (200 events).

Hardware extensions with / without ROMs.

Icecube A2 Rev 1.4 Computer
3D screen  -  ROM reader  -  Beautiful all-in-one design  -  2 default programs

Information
Designed and built by IcyGamma, this computer (using event systems and concepts developed at the MicroBlock Headquarters workshop in The Centipede Building) combines years of event knowledge, a pro-RP attitude, and lateral thinking to deliver a simplistic yet highly refined build.

This build is like no other computer. It supports custom programs fully, something no other Blockland computer ever could do without great modification to the actual device. It uses a 3D screen never seen before in Blockland, giving opportunity to 3D games using projectiles, and allowing for depth with windows. It is based off the iMac G3, with a case that can be personalized to any color you wish.

This build is perfect for office role play as it features interactive office software (write documents, and make graphs that can be saved for later). It is perfect to increase your eventing skill by building apps for it. It is a great addition to any build that requires a computer. It is also fun to learn from.

If you wish to make ROMs, there is a full PDF guide below on how to do so. Check the "more content" section under guides.

This computer can also provide good practical use. With custom ROMs you can make it execute actions for your builds using custom events. Even the default programs can be useful; click here to see how I used the graph maker to show data.

Click here for a demo of the computer, including a demo of ROMs and extended hardware.

General Discussion / MicroBlock BLPC Unveiling Server
« on: September 15, 2011, 12:11:34 AM »

I will be unveiling and demonstrating a new neato Blockland computer build I've created, using a new original computer screen with "instant graphics" and "3D depth windows". It also runs programs fully off other bricks, which was a technical nightmare in the past. It includes a document writer and a graph maker for office RP that are fully interactive.

I will be demonstrating the computer as its "OS" is projected onto a big screen. It will be hosted at the MicroBlock server soon. I will post here before it goes live. It will be up in about 15 mins.

Only 10 seats available. Bans will be issued for people who troll / get in the way, no tolerance.

I don't post straightforward builds much but I am really pleased with this one. Its given me more confidence and understanding of good building.

At Surburbs CityRPG I offer a build service. I built this house for $8,000 based off my mock-company's pricing, for a player called Artifact. He provided an image and I modeled the house around it, then did the interior and plan to add furniture. Still building it, its a work in progress. I'm quite happy with it. Artifact is too. c:
