Would you be able to do both Barnabas? :o

That'd be awesome.

General Discussion / HALP: Victorian House Build?
« on: November 19, 2012, 06:01:01 AM »
Does anyone have a Victorian style house build I could have the save to, for filming? I need something snappy. Even just a quality American style house that I could edit would be really great.

Preferably something already made, I appreciate anyone offering to build something but often people never follow through.

Would credit.

Finally used the new control panel.

Much easier to login with a custom password. Very basic, but that isn't a bad thing. I don't see myself wanting to troll through a massive control panel to start or stop my server.

I hope Lub's has an equally instant start / stop mechanism that isn't buried under menus.

I don't like JD's style, but you have to admit, its pretty impressive. Its meant to be loud and controversial and it seems to have worked for him huehue.

The GPU was an Intel GMA (from 2008), so it probably would not run shaders at all.6GB RAM is good.

Oharsh.

I used to play BL on a MacBook made in 2007, it had... Intel GMA X1300 I think.

Would lag with anything over 20k bricks in version v19. Basically pre-2010 Intel graphics cards are a total write off for anything anymore.

XFX is a very awkward and nonexistent brand here in New Zealand from my research, rarely see any online retailers stock it. The odd small business or trading site retailer sometimes sells them, but they are usually stufftier models. I sometimes see people use them in gaming communities here but I am reasonably sure they order overseas or whatnot.

I have an Asus, so trust me, you won't go wrong there.  I do prefer the Sapphire line though and wish I would've gotten a sapphire over Asus, but it's up to you.

Ogood news then.

Sapphire one is a bit more expensive and I can't justify it. The card can be seen from the perforated steel side of my case as well, I like the look of the Asus card. :3

EDIT: o by the way Aludane, my mobo came a couple hours a go. :D  Its wonderfullll.

WATCH OUT remove 1 from each 7 and you have a demon graphics card that could rip apart your intestines.

In other words, the card looks fine but what supplier are you picking? XFX?

I'm picking Asus.

Supposedly the difference between them is nothing apart from cooling... looked at the Sapphire card, but it seems to list a requirement of 450W PSU. After asking around I've been told that is just an overestimated recommendation. Not sure what to think there.

Asus one is cheaper and according to comparisons, virtually no different to the Sapphire except the Saphire might do a fraction better with overclock speeds.

All just marketing imo.

I am also choosing the Radeon HD 7770 over the GTX650. Its a slight bit cheaper here, but its performance is a step up better.

Its a fine card. Its no Radeon 7950 or GTX680, but given its price, a very fine choice for high detail gaming on most titles (and maybe medium detail on some extra intensive new games).

It rates about 59th on the list of high-end cards on Videocardbenchmark.net. The GTX650 is about 75th so its a no brainer.

I usually look for ATI / AMD cards, they are always better value for better quality IMO.

It wasn't bad for a first. A little amusing, well edited though the frame rate did suffer a bit in parts.

I hate credit rolls though, so unnecessary in shorts. I know it was a half serious credit roll but still, unnecessary. Takes away any affect the humor had imo.

Kniaz reminds me of an 80's Morten Harket, that singer from A-ha. Except slimmer in the face.

Alright. Tried any Mac Forums too? Technology focused forums are more reliable for this kind of stuff. The BL forums are pretty good for PC building discussion but useless for much else tech related lol.
