I laugh when people say that games that are for both consoles are better on the 360. It's going to be that same thing for both."let's make this game better for 360 cause wecan." It doesn't work like that.

The xbox is easy to develop for, so many games are developed for the 360, then ported to PC and PS3.

Long post inc:

For your information, I have a 360.

First, find out which console your friends have, that is the most important thing to consider.
If, you do not have any friends, skip that step.

Then, consider the exclusives of that platform:
(I will forget about some titles, excuse me))

Xbox 360:
-Left 4 Dead
-Mass Effect
-Gears of War
-Halo
-Forza

PS3:
-Uncharted 2
-God of War
-Killzone
-inFamous
-Gran Turismo
-Heavy Rain
-Ratchet and Clank

There are more titles that I have forgotten about, so you can do some more research.
*Note: Multiplatform tittles tend to look better on the 360, but it can also go the other way around.

Now, Microsoft is a software company, so Xbox LIVE is going to be better than PSN (But costs $40 for a year) Sony does hardware, so the PS3 will be more durable, but the PSN doesn't have all of the features Xbox LIVE has, but it is free.

Both are $300, the PS3 has wifi and bluetooth and bluray, the xbox doesn't have much.

I love my Xbox, but I am considering getting a PS3.

Unfortunately it was just a small DLC pack, log's lost challenges.

N&B was awesome, I really wish they would make another one, but RARE is busy with Natal atm.

The PS3 is looking really good this year, Uncharted 2 and Ratchet and Clank both look like really good games, and they have the Bad Company 2 beta.

I don't have the cash to buy a console, but I just wanted to point out that you can buy an 120g PS3 that comes with inFamous and Batman Arkym Asylum for only $299.

If you are looking for a similar Xbox deal then you are out of luck, you can get the elite (120g) with Pure (some atv racing game) and lego batman for $299. Both are pretty stuffty games compared with Batman and inFamous though.

I have an xbox, and I love it, but PS3 has some good stuff too.

But first, Xbox live is only $35 if you buy the card from Amazon, so its not that expensive at all.
The xbox exclusives for 2009 were pretty bad. (ODST meh, L4D2 meh, Forza? good)

PS3 had Uncharted, Deamon Souls, and Ratchet and Clank, all amazing games.

Its pretty close, I would buy whatever console most of your friends have.

odst is a steaming pile of stuff.

Unless a lot of your friends have it, its not worth it.

The story was really good, well told and all, but after that I didn't feel like it offered anything else. I would rent it for the story.

Then again MW2 looks pretty generic, but it has some new multiplayer stuff so that should be worth it.

The specific vehicle mechanics were kinda 'iffy, but I still enjoyed the game a lot. It brought a lot to the table in terms of innovative gameplay and giving the player a lot of tools to be creative. The multiplayer was really fun, I just wish more people would play it, because its almost impossible to find a game.
