Off Topic / Japan Radiation - Cover up

So i'm doing a report on the destruction and aftermath of the fukushima nuclear plant in Japan, and i've noticed something interesting.
Have any of you noticed how after a few weeks of the meltdown, the media completely stopped coverage of the disaster? I'm not sure if this is just normal, or the government's trying to hide that our coastline is contaminated with radiation.
There's nothing. They tried to convince the general population we're safe, and then shut down.
Can anyone explain this?

When you start a new game, usually an RPG, for example Fallout or Skyrim, or if you could choose what to be in real life, what would you play?
For me, I usually like to play a berserker character, who charges at the enemy fighting only with fists.

So, i have a few ideas on what i want to do out of high school, but i'm not sure which to choose.
Here's some of the things i'm thinking -
Film School
I have an interest in making movies and films. I've done this my whole childhood, but i'm not sure how much i would enjoy doing it as a career.
INTERPOL

International police force. I have an interest in crime and the FBI, but i do not want to work in the US. This job sounds good to me as it is in France.
Coast Guard
I enjoy the ocean and I've lived by it my whole life. I am an excellent swimmer and i'm very interested in this job.
My band
I have a band but this is just basically an excuse to forget off. If we make it big it could work, but i'm not sure.
So could someone help me out here?

Games / I miss my Gamecube

I miss my gamecube a ton, but more importantly, i miss the games. The best games of today just don't compare to the best games on gamecube, in my opinion. Games on the gamecube had insane amounts of game play, and an actual story. I can't find anything like this for PC/PS3/360.
I don't want to sound like a hipster, but i think it was better.
Here's what i mean:
Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite game I've ever played. It took me my entire childhood to beat, and was actually difficult. Nowadays, I can beat almost any game in about a day. If a game is hard today, most of the time it's because you don't have a good enough gun / armor. It used to be you actually had to use your brain. I miss this alot ):
If anyone could suggest games like this for PS3 or PC, that would be great.

Help / Lights don't work with shaders enabled

This just recently started happening this morning. If i turn my player light on, or spawn a light on a brick, i can see the flare, but it casts off no illumination. So if i'm in a dark room with a light on, it stays exactly the same. But when i turn shaders off, it works.
Can someone help me? Because i don't want to play with shaders off from now on ):

In my RPG Swords of The North, i'm going to be needing one of these.
What i'm asking for, if anyone remembers, is you have warmth, which sort of acts like hunger, and depletes when not near a warmth brick. Standing next to a warmth brick will heat you back up. For a v21 edition, i was wondering if when you were below 1/2 warmth if a white vignette would appear. If you run out of warmth, you die.

Games / World of Warcraft Install Question

I'm trying to reinstall World of Warcraft, but it's been on the same screen for about 7 hours. It says "Updating setup files..." and the bar moves back and forth, but i'm not sure if it's doing anything. Should i leave it alone, or is something wrong?
