I think gamecube will go down in history as the best console of its time if it hasn't already

I don't understand why consoles these days have way better graphics and run way faster, but they're nowhere near as good. It may be because game companies are putting out what people want to see, not original ideas no one has seen before.

Games / I miss my Gamecube
« on: September 29, 2012, 07:11:38 PM »
I miss my gamecube a ton, but more importantly, i miss the games. The best games of today just don't compare to the best games on gamecube, in my opinion. Games on the gamecube had insane amounts of game play, and an actual story. I can't find anything like this for PC/PS3/360.

I don't want to sound like a hipster, but i think it was better.

Here's what i mean:

Super Mario Sunshine is my favorite game I've ever played. It took me my entire childhood to beat, and was actually difficult. Nowadays, I can beat almost any game in about a day. If a game is hard today, most of the time it's because you don't have a good enough gun / armor. It used to be you actually had to use your brain. I miss this alot ):

If anyone could suggest games like this for PS3 or PC, that would be great.

Some other games i miss:

forget YEAH I LOVE THIS GAME

Does anyone remember this? (couldn't find gamecube picture)

Or this?

This too -

Best platformer ever made, ever.

Those were some of my favorite games.

AlSO
THESE forget YES

Better than any other shooter today

have fun trying to make a scary blockland server
that doesn't involve screamers

Trust me, it will involve screamers. The map is so big the player will feel very alone.

Just wondering, but how is this beta going to work exactly? I'm assuming you are going to PM the server pass to all of us when you need us, but is there anything else we should know?

When i'm almost finished, I'm going to allow 6 people into the server to jet around without a minigame and find the most obvious bugs. After a few days, i will let all 12 of you in to actually play the game and find gameplay or events bugs. The first 6 will be chosen randomly and PM'd the password.
