If you look through his posts, it seems like he knows what he's talking about.
However his first post is pretty non-standard for any new person. I have high hopes for him being an Alt.

Off Topic / Looking for a decent gaming rig.

Preferably around the $500-$700 range
It doesn't have to be the best thing around. Just something that plays games like Minecraft or BL at around 60-ish FPS and higher quality ones at about 15-25.

I found this one, but I am not sure on the graphics card. And the brand seems pretty sketchy to me.

Why? Darksnow is stuck with one of these and was begging me for help.

So would this be a good computer for some average gaming, not the high, intense stuff that is being released and whatnot?

LOOK THROUGH HIS POSTS YOURSELF!

Your all around local dumbstuff.
About %50 percent of his posts are images, and most of which are pony related.
However, some of those pony images are so loving huge, they should just be removed. Like the one I had to resize down to a 200 x 199. It was over loving 4000 pixels on each axis.

The posts which contain text, are pretty poorly written out, and most just show general stupidity. I've reported one of his most recent posts as a "Don't Care" because it falls under that category. In fact, a lot of images above fall under "Don't Care", and even some I have not put up for the sake of god.

Also, in the topics related to DrenDran. He popped right into a resolved argument between Dren and I. I cannot believe he was stupid enough to not read 4 pages of a topic. Starting some further Drama that could've easily been avoided.

I am also surprised no one noticed this.

I have several raisins why:

  • ANNOTATIONS ANNOTATIONS ANNOTATIONS!
  • Hey, watch this video that isn't even related to the one you're watching NOW
  • We like to display any videos, no matter how stuffty they are! Viewcount = E-peen
  • FOR MORE MACHINIMA, GO TO ONE OF OUR SEVERAL CHANNELS, WHICH ARE JUST LIKE THE ORIGINAL!

NOW PLEASE LOOK AT THESE SCREENIES, DEPICTING WHAT WE HAVE TO PUT UP
WITH
(In extremely low res!)

Yeah sure, for the annotations part you can click that button, but on the odd video, none of them show up until the climax of the video, and it fills nearly the entire screen. I wish there was an option to shut off annotations by default.

In short.

Machinima has a lot of really bad series, some good ones.
ANNOTATIONS ANNOTATIONS ANNOTATIONS!
BUY OUR stuff
WATCH MORE stuff

If bill S.Whatever gets passed, I'll laugh when they get shut down.

Games / Earth Defense Force 2017
« on: July 09, 2011, 11:52:20 PM »
Quote from: story
In 2013, radio waves from deep space are picked up by scientists, proving to humans that they were not alone in the universe. The Earth Defense Force, a unified multinational military sponsored by nearly every country, is founded a few years later, in case the aliens prove to be hostile.

In the year 2017, first contact is made when hundreds of UFOs proceed to hover over every major city across the globe, led by a massive mothership positioned over Tokyo, Japan. The aliens, dubbed Ravagers, initially make no aggressive action towards humanity. As the EDF is mobilized, giant acid spitting insects resembling ants begin to appear and attack humans. The protagonist is an unnamed Captain in Storm 1, a Japanese unit regarded as the best in the EDF, and helps exterminate the ants in Tokyo. Soon after, the UFOs start releasing more ants onto the ground, proving their hostile intentions. An air assault is attempted on the mothership, but is utterly destroyed by alien gunships. Giant mecha and spider-like insects are added to the fray, which contribute to already heavy losses. After weeks of brutal urban warfare, the surviving EDF forces abandon the cities and begin a guerrilla campaign in the rural areas.
While patrolling the Japanese countryside, Storm 1 is informed by command that an extensive alien nest is being built underground. From this nest, the Ravagers will be able to spawn an infinite number of bugs and bypass EDF defenses. Intelligence provided by Scout Teams shows that a single alien Queen is at the center of the nest, and its destruction will stop the production of the rapidly multiplying bugs. Storm 1 assaults the nest with the help of all available Ranger Teams, and successfully kills the Queen.
A few days later, Storm 1 assists a Scout Team with monitoring the mothership, which has landed on the Japanese coast and appears dormant, damaged, and defenseless. Oddly, it is observed sucking in huge amounts of air and releasing carbon dioxide, implying that the ship is more than a synthetic machine, and may be the hive intelligence controlling the Ravagers . Command orders the Teams to assault the mothership with heavy weapons, but it re-activates and wipes out the Scout Team.
Before the Ravager mothership retreats, it drops a massive four-legged mecha on the coast, which uses a powerful plasma cannon to assault EDF positions. Storm 1 destroys the mecha before it can cause too much harm, and later neutralizes several cyborg creatures of Godzilla proportions. While the Japanese contingent of the EDF continues to hold out, the rest of the world is soon overrun and enslaved. Japan stands as the last unoccupied territory.
All remaining insects and mechs on the ground make a beeline to the bombed-out ruins of Tokyo, where the mothership has stopped to repair and arm an enormous cannon, capable of destroying anything in its path. The remaining EDF forces move to block the Ravager advance so Storm 1 can destroy the mothership. In a climactic battle, Storm 1 focuses fire on the weak spots the cannon has revealed, and the mothership crashes to the ground, exploding in a huge fireball. The remaining Ravager forces become disorganized and flee.
The Earth Defense Force begins operations to free the occupied areas of Earth, and by 2019, the last of the Ravagers are wiped out. With the planet finally liberated, a collective chant of "EDF! EDF!" is heard across the globe.

Off Topic / My chair tried to murder me.
« on: July 09, 2011, 01:36:26 PM »
Last night, everything was normal. I was browsing forums and YouTubes, when timer hits 12:00. Mom doesn't want me on computer past 12, so I turn off computer.

I slide a couple centimeters sideways on my chair while I stretch. I topple to the floor, nearly hitting my head on some sharp, steel object.

I look, my chair is still standing up? It can't be possible.
Well, in that 3 cm of leaning, one of the wheels snapped off.
But then I found an old office chair we've had for 10 years, and it's more comfy.
:D

Suggestions & Requests / My gallery topic features images.
« on: July 09, 2011, 04:24:49 AM »

See the little checkbox near the Additional Options? In the case it isn't checked, the Post button would be grayed out. And if someone posted a gallery topic without images, well, it's up to badspot to do whatever.

I thought this would be a good little thing to have, considering a lot of topics are showing up in Gallery, with absolutely no images in the topic at all.

Well, title is self explanatory.

I'd say No-ish, because after I watch a show about Bigfoot, or talk about him with friends, (especially at night), I close my blinds and hope he cannot reach my window, or break down the porch door.

I clean out my computer for the first time in a month. (My mommy did it the other 5 or so times <3).

My reaction was, Holy stuff my processor has a bigass fan attached to it.
Other than that, I was extremely turned on by all the naked computer in front of me.
