Off Topic / Should money you have earned be shared with a spouse?
« on: November 20, 2014, 04:30:56 PM »
Some people believe that when you get married or settle down, that big pocket of change both of you make can be mixed into a jar and shared.

Some people like me, believe that the money I make is mine, and will only "share" it based on decisions that benefit the both of us. Such as mortgages and the like. Otherwise, my money stays in my bank account, and can only be accessed by me.

What do you think forum?

Edit: Also, many people come back during summer, i often see ~300/400 players.
Its also the same around the holidays.
Not a lot of people can play during school hours.

You're going to want to make sure your card can fit in your case, lol. The GTX 970 is mid range in terms of length, the card Pecon recommended is loving massive.
also. the partpicker site lists a minor incompatibility with gpu size, should it be an issue since i plan to use two HD's, or is it a non-issue?

the case has a lot of HD slots, and I only need 2.

I also found this response on some tech forum.

Watching some in depth reviews of it as well, it'll fit almost anything you force into it. It's pretty cool. Lots of extra space, especially for someone who's just starting out with this sort of thing.

You should get a GTX970 :)
I think I might stick to what Pecon gave me now, sans the case. I really don't care how much better each card is, as long as it isn't my little 30 watt (max power) HD 5450.

Of course you can, you can use any case that is standard ATX or ATX12v

...and the PSU he picked doesn't appear to be available through any major canada-serving retailers, and therefore isn't calculated with the price on the pcpartpicker list
Hm, I'll reconsider then. Except for that case. Could I still use the one he linked? I really like it. :3

I also congregated all the parts into a pcpartpicker link. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/Dw3xWZ, im just posting it to make sure its all correct.

I have a WiFi adapter suggested at the bottom of my list.
I seen, would it be compatible with the parts Ninja put in his list?

Oh my god. Uh... I had to check my motherboard, I don't think modern motherboards have those ports anymore.
Hm, is it possible to get antennae that just connect through the ethernet port?

-computer stuff-
Ah, thanks Pecon, but I already submitted the list that Ninja Decoy made to my parents.
I did notice however, thanks to you Pecon, that the one ND made didn't have a DVD drive lol. Not that it really matters, the only disk I have is for Metro Last Light. (which is now tied to my steam account anyways.)

On that computer though, what would it use for connecting to the Internet? I can't use an Ethernet Cable, because that would be too many feet long to be practical lol. My current PC uses an antenna, and it connects to my PC using these 2 little tiny gold connectors. They look like very old TV Coax plugs, just a lot smaller.

Edit: just stop complaining about my stuffty specs for forgets sake
From what I'm getting from other responses, the fact is the components are so old, that you don't really have a choice to get something more up to date. It's not really a complaint, moreso a requirement.

Idk if this was brought up earlier in the thread, but Aston Marin sure made a good looking car this year.

BL is living good, less, it's at a low.
It's not at a low. If anything it's more active than it's ever been.

Try finding a good server when there's only 90 people playing at noon, and only 2 of them have an even considerable amount of people in them. That's what it was like on weekends when I bought that game, and that was 7 years ago.
