so in my state, we have this program where you can get free condoms through the mail.
i send them to my friends' homes (ones where i know their parents open their mail) and wait until the magic happens.
what usually does happen is a grounding or having some kind of privilege taken away

Off Topic / [blogland forums] anxiety is loving ripping me apart

(heads up, the way i word this isn't probably going to be too fluid)
i usually have been pretty good about anxiety these past few months, but lately it's been not good.
some of you may know that i've been looking for a job and putting out apps left and right. well i finally got a call from a restaurant. they need a busboy. i was thinking "hell yeah i can do that". however, during the interview i was asked if i had a license, and i said no. the interview ended, and the guy told me "i don't think you're right for this job if you don't always have 100% reliable transportation." i was pissed. apparently not having a license deems you unworthy for a job, even if your parents give you rides. it made no sense to me.
after a few days of being pissed, i thought about getting my permit again and trying to learn to drive. however, i delved deeper into this and it has been giving me panic attacks just thinking about getting behind a wheel. just today, my crush told me that after school she has drive time. i asked her if she was going on the main roads today and she said yeah. it sent me into a mild panic attack knowing she'll be on the main roads.
so yeah, i have to figure out how to overcome this. i can't let it keep holding me back in life.

i have some opportunities to play guitar for online bands, but i need to start getting into daw's and general guitar recording.
i figured this way is easier than buying a 300 dollar amp + 100 dollars for a good mic.
i have a rocksmith cable, or i can can buy a guitar jack to usb converter. whichever has the best sound.
any suggestions?

Off Topic / my speakers are picking up some kind of radio frequency and it's loving scary

i bought a pair of speakers for my computer yesterday, and hooked them up the same night. the first night, as i was on the verge of sleep and awareness (dunno how to explain that), i heard some kind weird chatter in the dead silence of my room. it was so low that only i could hear faint words like "god" and "due". it scared the absolute forget out of me, and i only heard it when i was about to sleep. the sound would make me panic and make me wake up, so i didn't sleep last night
today, i was on my computer and plugged in my phone to the speakers (it has a spot for aux connections) and turned on the music. again very faintly i heard the noises again. it took me a while to realize it's the loving speakers
i looked up this on the internet, and it turns out many people are experiencing this. i can't, however, find a concise answer on how to fix it. i don't know if it's a problem with the actual speaker or what.
any ideas?

for example, one day my mom wanted me to dress up in oodles of layers because it was 12 degrees out (not that cold to me honestly). i said no and then she gave me the argument that "you'll get a cold/pnemonia if you go out there without multiple layers on". i told her that's not true and explain they're caused by viruses. then the whole "mother knows all" charade and she angrily storms off.

am i seriously a bad person for correcting people? this isn't exclusively with my mom either.

I started up an old laptop I need to run a simple server, however I can't even boot windows 7. It tries to make me boot into Ubuntu (even though I don't recall ever putting it in there). I can't figure how to boot into windows, so I tried to boot it in Ubuntu. When I do that I see:
"BusyBox v1.21.1 (Ubuntu 1:1.21.0-1ubuntu1) built-in shell (ash) Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands. (initramfs)"
Please help me. Did I do some kind of dual boot with Ubuntu and windows 7? How do I get back to windows 7?

i have no strong feelings one way or the other when it comes to this matter. i find it extremely weird calling them another gender when you know in your heart that's a boy/girl.
i have a friend that has came out as transgender recently. they want me to call them by their new name and identity and it's so difficult.

I think I'm being paranoid, but just in case
About 30 minutes ago my disc drive opened on its own. Frightened, I unplugged my ethernet cable and webcam from my computer. Is this an indication of a rat, or am I actually paranoid? Malwarebytes comes up with nothing.

Off Topic / No USB transfer options in phone

So I tried to connect my phone to my PC for tethering, but the computer doesn't detect my phone. I remembered on my old phone, a thing would pop up asking for the connection type (transfer, charge, etc.), but this phone doesn't. I'm looking all around for USB options and can't find anything.
