It is NOT about whate you like, but what it is that you are used to. I grew up using Windows AND Mac so I feel comofortable with either. It is my opinion to like Macs better. Now, all that we are trying to state is our opinion, so why are you giving us this lecture? Next time you need to wipe your ass I'll be there complaining about how many trees go into toilet paper and how some people like Quilted Northern over Charlotte.

You moron, he was just saying that Windows is similar to Firefox, and Mac to IE.

Koden, I'm pretty sure the only reason that you like Macs is because you can't get a PC, and that's all you have at your house. The day you get a PC, you'll realize it's greatness, and end up pawning your POS Mac.

I have a PC and a Mac. I do appreciate PC's because they are good computers. That does not imply that I like one more than another. I do in fact prefer my Mac, but I enjoy PC at the same time.

Maybe I should speak up a few about how much I dislike macs. Not because of the mac itself but rather the people like you who put them out to be so much.

First off, I would like to start off with the whole entire Virus argument.
As someone who wouldn't really want to waste their time developing a Virus; if I were to create one; I would really want to make one that could reach billions, rather than a mere, 3 annoying patriotic 16 year old kids.

Secondly, I do not hate macs because they are made by Apple, nor because they are white and look like they got pooped out of a baby kangaroo, but rather because of the people who go around saying how much PC's suck. You are those people who pressure conversion when you yourselves believe in a illogical form of living (with no proof backup or unarguable points). I have nothing against religion, it is fine. But when you want to convert me into something I am not, and tellme I am going to burn in the fiery depths of hell because I don't believe in god, then I get mad.

Back onto the macs. Because the amount of mac users is smaller, hackers, virus creators find no need to create something that will not reach the masses because overall Viruses are meant to infect and destroy as many things as possibly or to get a message out into a wide large audience rather than a small patriotic group of fanboys.

I feel forever Macs have been violating Microsoft product users. They go around shouting random things about PC's when they themselves are clueless little bastards. Maybe some of us enjoy building our own computers or take pride in understanding the hardware in which resides in our computer.

Onto the Software Topic - Usually PC users say it's the Software that doesn't make a mac hold up to a PC. In these many cases, Mac users return with THE ONLY THING IT DOESN'T HAVE IS GAMES! YOU JUST WANT TO PLAY GAMES!

No, it's not only because your selection is so small I don't even believe it exists, but rather because you do not have the indie, open source products. Most of the tools, more powerful than the average mac consumer uses aren't made for the mac. Such as tools that can edit memory strings, and even more advanced ones which I will not go into further detail with. I am not saying that there are NO programs that can do so, but the most favored and popular ones beacause of usability and efficiency are all made for the PC.

Even though now with BootCamp, the Mac can run Windows, I still feel as though it would be SLOWER than a normal PC running Windows. If I was going to use a computer to run Windows, why would I get a mac? They are more expensive, I cannot check the insides myself and make more advanced tweaks.

Also there are people who take their hardware to other levels, such as overclocking their computer to insane levels with Water cooling and or even Liquid Nitrogen cooling. These fast processors are more available and open to PC users, let alone cheaper. So, logically they use PC's to do these sort of tests.
PC users have a wider range of options when it comes to tweaking your systems performance.

There are also some people who use the argument of: WINDOWS IS A STUPID PLATFORM, IT DOESN'T KNOW WHAT A FILE IS UNTIL YOU NAME IT .formathere.
Well, that gives you a larger variety of things to change it to. Sometimes you would want to view files as something else, or trick MSN messenger by sending files over a .txt format. Whether this is used for good or bad, you should be smart enough to have an anti-virus and scan all files before opening them or extracting them.

Some argue about the looks: Some people dont CARE about the looks, we have different tastes. Windows can be easily skinned as a mac if you really wanted it to be. By using WINDOWS BLINDS or other files that contain system schemes.

The entertainment business is another big argument. Of how Macs are better. There is BARELY any sort of performance difference when making videos on a PC or a MAC. You just have to know what you're doing! And all of the independent stuff done today has no impact on quality when made on a PC or a MAC.

A big argument is that there are all the programs on a MAC too. Well, who the crap cares if it's for the mac. If its for the mac too, then its obviously for a PC also! So just get a damn PC, there is no software advantage.
People talk about iTunes, but that is available to PC users too. People talk about all that Ivideo, FinalCut (whatever they are called) but there are also simplistic movie editors such as : Windows Movie Maker for Windows, or The Adobe Premiere that is available for PC's and MACS. You can do the SAME thing on a PC as you can do on a MAC. It doesn't make you anymore special to be a minority.

In conclusion, stop being an annoying fanboy. Take a look at both sides and think realistically. Why are more people using PC's? Obviously, Macs would be used more if it was better wouldn't it? Oh and about the simplistic thing, howcome I never see grandma's using MAC OS X but using Windows?
