General Discussion / Re: Buying/Selling Professional Builds?

Honestly, if that little castle of yours is worth $7.50, then Sylv's mine would be worth about $30. Not to talk about his Seattle build. With your prices, it would easily be worth $500!!
In other words, you think to highly of people's wallets and/or your building abilites. I'm not saying you're bad, you're just aiming a bit high.

This is better than most "cathedrals" I've seen, but there's still some work to do.
- The front door is way to tall. Make it small, and maybe add a rose window above it.
- The towers aren't tall enough. They don't need to be pointy like Conan said, (just look at Notre Dame de Paris), but they should definitely be a bit taller.
- The roof shouldn't be flat. It would collapse immediately if it was real.

For a more gothic feeling you should try the following:
- Add a choir and an apse in the east end!
- Make the towers pointy.
- Add a large tower in the crossing between transept and nave (for english style), or simply add a spire (for german/french style)
- Add larger, multistaged buttresses. Not only do they look cool, they actually support the construction.

If there's anything more you wanna know, feel free to ask me. I learnt alot about cathedral architecture when I built mine.

Here's a plan if you didn't understand what the hell I was talking about  :cookieMonster:

>$10 is a high price for a build. And $1.5 for a turtle also seems very high. Unless we're talking a oversized, realistic model with ~500 bricks.

That's the point, you don't pay to get the build. You pay to have the build become realized.
The cost is not for exclusivity. It's for it to be made in the first place.
Ah okay. That makes more sense.

Taking money for your builds sounds like a bad idea. Especially since you need to host them to be able to play with them properly.

Longest post in the history of blockland :P

Anyways, good job. Would've been nice with some V21 screenshots though.

If I made a model in LDraw, would you convert it to a blockland vehicle? It would also be neat if you made a tutorial on how to make these :)

Eh, about that.... I kinda quit playing and only stay here as a theoretical builder

i'm more for the overall terrain design rather than the actual construction and execution.
I know you quit playing. But as often as you lurk around the forums, you must surely have time to build a little every once in a while. :P

Stalingrad, in case non-members are allowed to vote  :cookieMonster:
Seriously, someone should make a Stalingrad build. For planes and whatnot: BoB.

All of them? For reals?
Yah. I would set a bad example if I started excluding builds right off the bat, wouldn't I? :P
