I see lots of flags
but I don't see Canada flag
Where the hell is the Canada flag??
There is a Canadian flag. It is between the Finnish and the Russian flag. It's not instantly recognizable, but that's what you get for adding random symbols to your flag! The same goes for India, Mexico and Argentina btw.

And about the question whether this is based of a real building: yes it is. It is based upon a nice office complex by Morphogenesis. I took the original concept and improved it (that's what I like to think, at least :P)
- I added the entrance area with the diagonal slab of concrete.
- I also added another half-floor (the meeting room on top).
- Since the original concept is "eco-architecture", I added grass to the rooves. That was inspired by traditional norwegian architecture btw, where grass rooves are common.
- The flags were originally supposed to include USA, Norway and Germany (representing JS), but it was so much fun building flags that we added a whole bunch of em.
- The original building doesn't have a parking garage. Even though this is an eco-building, I felt like that was a must have, so I added one.
- The large windows in the ceiling are something that came from my imagination as well. I thought it would look nice in V21 (this was built in V20).

I'd like this, but it isn't gonna happen anytime soon.

Bricks have to be placed on a grid, diagonal bricks are not on the grid. Collision would also be a problem, I think.

ah

Sorry dude, i didn't quite get the gist of what you were saying. :v
np

Short version:
Americans get easily offended, which makes them feel like they need to defend themselves. This is done by showing off some "important" "american" contributions to the modern society.

People from other nations don't do that to the same extent.

Nobody in this thread has said anything like that lol. All we've said was the we invented the nuke, which wasn't good, but it was pointed out the technology would've been invented by the Germans if we didn't help stop them (Heavy Water project.) So which country would you rather have nukes? national socialist Germany, or the US?
I never said anybody said anything like that. It was just a general example, not taken specifically from this thread.

I chose the nuke example cause most americans seem to be really "proud" of it, even though most engineers and scientists involved in the project were actually from Europe.

I agree with everything that Sheath said a couple of pages back.

Every nation gets bashed every once in a while.
For example:
- Americans: fat redneck who's married to his shotgun
- French: loaf and snail eating people with funny mustaches
- Germans: beer drinking people with sausages and lederhosen
- Brits: tea loving people who are way too polite and rule-obeying.

But unlike most other nations, americans often get genuinely offended when you stereotype them. They always take a defence position and start telling everyone else why the US is the best country in the world. I've even seen it in this thread. it always goes something like this:

"Not all americans are fat. We've got the best country in the world. Our military is superior, and without it, the entire world would be forgeted. See what we did in the middle east? Yeah. Remember WW2? Yeah.
We also have the most inventions and important persons. We invented the atomic bomb. We invented the car. And the M16. The world would be forgeted without our technology"

I never see anyone from France or Germany react like that. But every 2nd american starts acting like that, even if the original comment was meant to be funny. That's annoying.

Besides what am I supposed to give as reward? I just thought it was a fun idea!
You could gift steam games or some kind of downloadables that don't cost too much, if you want to be especially nice...

Absolute bullstuff.

Using default bricks + colorset isn't noobish. It's hard as hell to pull of. It's easy to use highly customized bricks, but trying to build something that looks decent with defaults only is a different story.

This adds another dimention to the challenge. I'd participate if I could build futuristic stuff.
