Gallery / 50s Era Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower and Seaplane.
« on: July 16, 2013, 03:42:08 PM »
I haven't posted anything in the gallery lately, so I decided to post my 50s era "Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower." It is still a bit WIP. I have to make the engine and edit the interior of the control tower.

And yes, that is my DC-4 in the background. that I may or may not release

Night view!

Seaplane. The Sailco SC-23P. The only events on this so far are the doors and the engines. I will event all the lights, landing gear, and fins/rudders for stability and turning while in the water. Also, a few more fun events that I don't want to mention right now :)

You can see both of these at my Freebuild server, and the seaplane at Kreon's City RP, which is going public soon.

Gallery / Mercury Redstone styled Rocket
« on: April 01, 2013, 02:13:52 PM »
Hey fellow forumers, I recently started a quick build, a Mercury Redstone Rocket. I made it a little big and messed up a few times, so it isn't an exact copy. It is made for one person. I messed up the capsule/top part. I also have not evented it yet, or built the escape rocket tower thing at the top. Please keep in mind  that it is a bit square, too wide, and the point isn't right  :'(

It is WIP :)

SailorMan, and BNFB's New D-Day Team Death Match!
It is early morning of June 6, 1944. You and your squad mates are huddled in the lumbering DUKW "Ugly Ducklings." It rolls with the waves like a toy boat in a busy pool. The fog and sea spray is so thick, you can cut it with a knife. Hundreds of other soldiers are feeling the same feelings as you: nervous, a bit excited, and definitely trigger happy. Suddenly, you hear the crackle of rifle and machine gun fire. The little splashes of near misses surround your boat. The driver yells "All right boys!"
...The battle for Normandy has begun!

How it works:
This build, as you know, is an invasion styled Team Death Match; the setting in the ocean country side of France (Is that what its called?). The tactical based part is pretty simple. The build uses "Territory Slayer." There are 4 major capture points, and one smaller one. At first, they are all in German control, and when they spawn, they have a choice of which place to go to. Their objective is to defend the country side, and have the majority of the capture points by the end of the round. The Allies have 25 minutes to complete their objective as well, and that is to capture most of the points, of course, but also to get the prize: The village. If they can hold it for 3 minutes (Or until the end of the round, I haven't figured out which yet), then they win.

Some facts about the server:
-We have decided to make this an all brick vehicle map. So far, we've made the DUKW's, halftracks, a few pick up trucks, and are in the process of making a Tiger Tank, and another car.
-I started this build in August last year with Smillys, but forgot about it for a while.

Custom Mods the server uses:
Currently, there are a bunch of fun add-ons the server uses, big thanks to Aerodynamic, Marble Man, and Lolz??:
-MG-42.
-Custom walking and jumping sounds.
-Custom kill streak mod.
-New Ambient D-Day sounds.
-D-Day player type that has limited stamina, and 120 health.
-A few more that are still being made!

Things to do:
-There are only a few things left to do on this, roughly 5% actually. We just need to finish the minigame, build a few vehicles, and test some mods.
Also, everyone keep in mind that we tried to be as historically accurate as possible. The only thing I didn't plan on was what beach it was xD

What is to come:
Im planning on possibly adding a (Most likely) admin only "French Civilians" team for fun. They'd be armed with kitchen utensils, or stolen German weapons. Their role is not to capture CP points, but rather get in the way of things, by being French Resistance, telling the Allied Forces where the Germans are, or even informants for the national socialists.

Admins List:
SailorMan, Kreon, Pepsimann, Who Cares99, Musicguy16, Aerodynamic, Bob the Crazy, FlyingFortress.

First Video featuring the build.

Dec. 27th, 2012: Fun WWII Era D-Day Video.

Pictures:
Sorry these are a tad out dated, and are on minimum shaders, but enjoy the build. (Note, the build is currently hovering at around 45,000 bricks, and that's where it most likely will stay. If you join to play this, please note that it may be a good idea to turn your shaders to minimum or off if you lag easily. However, with shaders on, you get the fog, which can limit lag. It depends on the user.)

Suggestions & Requests / MG-42: Modelers Found!
« on: March 20, 2013, 02:01:58 PM »
I asked Marble Man if he could do this for me, but he said that he wouldn't be abled to do modeling. Attached is the PM I sent him:
When Stratofortress did his mass release, he included a .30 Caliber Machine Gun. Its great, and simple to use. However, I wanted to know if you could make an MG-42 for me. Essentially, it would be nearly the same gun as the .30 Cal. MG (Script wise), but with a few tweaks and a different model.

This is what the gun would look like:

It would have the same features as the .30 Cal: Click Right click to use the gun. However, I'd like it to have a 150-200 bullet magazine. Also, maybe instead of the gun sound used in .30 cal MG, it could have the firing sound of this gun (Pi's MP-40):

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=154509.0

I'd really need this for my D-Day TDM. Also, it could be used for a variety of things. It is pretty cool, and a really fun gun. Plus the aesthetics are there. Also no one has ever made this before.
Lastly, if it is kept to similar style with the old .30 Caliber, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration,
SailorMan
Please note as well, the model doesn't have to be incredibly crazy detailed (Obviously), just to the "Blockland Style"

Help / Weird shapes...? What are they?
« on: March 16, 2013, 07:14:01 PM »
I was building on my server today, away from my main build. I saved and cleared the bricks to load something else.  I didnt really see the actual main build at all. Right before it finished clearing, I noticed it had these weird... shapes. I was really confused by it. Later on, I reloaded those bricks and the mysterious shapes loaded with it. I quit blockland and restarted it, and thankfully it is gone now, but I really want to know what caused it, and if it comes back, if it can ever be permanent.

Thanks for reading, any info would be appreciated.

Gallery / A plane Kreon and I have been making. DC-4/ C-54 Styled Plane
« on: February 12, 2013, 08:52:43 PM »
Hey everyone! Here's a little sneak peak of something Kreon and I have been making for the past few days. Enjoy!

Sorry there is more than one color and supports visibile. Its markers for things we have to do.
Sneak peak of what me and Sailor have been doing:

Interior.

Everything works on this thing, including:
Landing gear,
Cargo doors,
Regular doors (All can lock in roosterpit)
Smoking and Seatbelts lights
Vents for the seats
Lights for each seat
Working Engines
Etc, Etc, Etc. A lot of other stuff included in this plane.

I may be editing/ re-doing the wings. And Im planning on creating Horizontal stabilizers soon. Sooo... Yeah. Enjoy. Not really anything worthy of rating because it is a WIP build. Also, these pictures are a few days old.

Suggestions & Requests / Weapon Request: BB-Gun
« on: February 05, 2013, 02:50:14 PM »
Hey guys, I wanted to know if someone was willing to make a classic styled BB-Gun. What I'm really asking for is one with that classic look, the wood stock, the black barrel, etc. You know, like the "Red Ryder" rifle in "A Christmas Story"

How I'd like to see it work:
With every shot, there is a small animation, maybe the gun moving to the side a bit and the "Click sound" of a brick being planted, like G-Cat's default guns. The lever on the bottom would come out then back in again at the same time for each shot. Maybe after a bunch of shots the gun has a longer reload. Kind of complicated, NVM on that part.

So yeah, a simple, classic styled BB-Gun, with maybe about 10 damage (Maximum).

Help / Two Quick Questions about a dedicated server and saving problems.
« on: December 16, 2012, 09:34:47 AM »
Well, as the title indicates, I have 2 problems.
     1. For the clans I'm in, I'm going to host a dedicated server. However, I have a yoke plugged into my computer that has lights on the front panel. What I'm worried about is that if I host a server over night/all day, I do not want to blow the bulbs on it (Which I cannot replace in the future.) To prevent this, I can easily just unplug it, but I am worried that it will screw up all my preferences/keybinds on the yoke. What do you guys think? Will it mess up MS Flight?
     2. Second problem: I've caught the "Crashing when saving syndrome." I'm crashing when I'm saving, but I have a hunch that it is the Heavy MG, which I will have to test. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and Happy Holidays!

Gallery / WWII Era TDM- Sneak Peak!
« on: November 23, 2012, 11:13:34 AM »
A while back, my clan, Blue Nosed Fighters of Blockland, and Global Blockland Defenses started a Joint-Clan Project. We recently have been putting things together, and we think it is worthy if a "Sneak-Peak." The time period of this build is in the 1940s, during WWII, in the European country side. There are a few villages in the build.

I whipped up most of this a few weeks ago. This can be considered a shell right now because it has a fraction of the stuff Im adding to it... I will be adding more stuff to it later, when I get the time. Anyway, check out my video(s). I couldnt figure out youtube and combining these mini clips, so I put them in a playlist. It is 4 videos, 30 seconds long. Sorry for the inconvenience, and I hope you guys enjoy it!

Check the video out here!
Please watch them all, they all showcase the different events on this plane! Including an engine start up!

Yes I know wings are funny. Also, engine shutdown is not done yet (Too simple)
Feel free to rate x/10!

I also want to give a big thanks to Navaro for helping me with Fraps!

Help / Crashy crashy crashy
« on: August 27, 2012, 10:01:11 AM »
Well, I was playing the other day, and pressed some keys by accident, I guess my fingers missed other buttons or something, and it was this magic key combination that crashes blockland and breaks it. This happened to me once before. I emailed Blockland Support, but, as always when I have problems, they didn't email me back, ever, so I took matters into my own hands. I had a Blockland copy because I moved it onto a flash drive a month earlier. I copied The Saves, Add-Ons, Screenshots. All that stuff. I think the only thing that didn't work, and that crashed me was the Client folder, it was one of them (The one that has avatars in it). So I took the copied one and just replaced it.

This happened AGAIN recently to me, and so I began to do the same thing this morning. I basically copied everything, went to open blockland, and I unfortunately noticed that it did not really work. No Avatars were transferred, saves, screenshots, all of that. It was really weird.

Im thinking I should re download blockland, or dig for that flash drive... Any ideas?
